No love for that new Strokes EP?
No love for that new Strokes EP?
As a denizen of Massachussetts, this makes me oddly proud.
I'll just be over here, continuing to wonder if I'm an asshole for not giving a shit about the direwolves.
This feature's back? A Game of Thrones reread. Ron Chernow's Alexander Hamilton. Ian Fleming's Casino Royale. A handful of Flannery O'Connor stories throughout.
I had forgotten that he wasn't in the series.
Can anyone tell me what the song at the end of every episode is called?
I guess, yeah. Their individual flaws and fuckups for the most part don't irritate me in the same kind of visceral way. I think it probably has something to do with the way Bran was set up as a noble, moral character in the first place. A Tyrion or a Stannis or a Dany has more leeway to be awful because we've never…
I thought for a minute that Meera was going to hack it off to get him to let go of the tree.
It has nothing to do with purity. Everyone else is reacting to their stuff in ways that I find compelling, but whenever we go to Bran the only feeling I have is "ugh, thus shitty kid".
I absolutely get it from a storytelling standpoint and I think it works really well, I just find it impossible to root for the character as much as the show seems to want me to as a side effect.
I'm just hoping the velociraptors that were hinted at in the first book turn up at some point.
The whole structure of the time-loop thing was very reminiscent of something they would've done on R&M.
That last one occurred to me as well, but I was hesitant to verbalize it. One can only hope.
My favorite reaction so far is a text I got from a friend: "That got pretty Rick and Morty at the end, huh?"
I think you're probably right since they've gone and killed him off before doing anything at all to tie him to Melisandre.
It was a lot easier to look the other way on this kind of stuff before he had his growth spurt.
Oh yeah, story-wise it's been great, I just find the character pretty irritating at this point.
Does anyone else kind of hate Bran? So much ridiculous horrific shit has happened as a result of him being stubborn and selfish about wanting to keep warging/tree-ing (what are we calling that, anyway?). He reminds me of a kid who refuses to put down the Gameboy.
I'm honestly just really into any scenario where Jorah says "HEY GUYS"
I'm with you as far as the Others go. The show basically just made them into Xenomorphs.
