Same. I’ve played Miles, Ratchet, Demon’s Souls, Astrobot, Ghost of Tushima(the BC+ version) and a bunch of third party stuff that got upgrades but aren’t on the list like Fallen Order, Control, Hitman 3, and Disco Elysium. I had finally started Sekiro on PS4 but blew through it on PS5 at 60fps - a much appreciated

I pre-ordered pretty fast after it’s announcement, but I was put in Q2.

Borderlands 3, Outriders, Risk of Rain 2, Warframe, Deep Rock Galactic, The Division 2, Necromunda: Hired Gun, Shadow Warrior 2, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Escape From Tarkov, Gunfire Reborn, Anthem, Destiny 1. Honorable mentions: Godfall, Minecraft Dungeons, Diablo 3.

It’s actually pretty obvious which blocks to shoot. I’ve gotten about halfway through the game, and I got stuck for a bit once or twice, but it was never because I couldn’t figure out which walls were breakable. It’s telegraphed super clearly, at least from the point of view from somebody who has played Zero Mission

It’s not terrible game design though. It’s how this genre of games always works. People not having the patients to try everything in their arsenal before declaring themselves stuck and the game broken is not the fault of the game devs.

Is forcing you to explore bad game design?

If you have a 3DS you can get a bunch of N64 games on that. Then while its not portable, you can get the rare replay collection so cheap now on xbox. Plus the genesis collection cost $30 but goes on sale alot.

It’s been wearing thin for a long time. I can’t stand looking at their maps with a hundred icons of busy work to do.

Sorry, I didn’t think my comment would cause any Strife.

They should do the Final Fantasy VII remake next. It’s the perfect game for Cloud streaming.

The number of pictures I’m seeing like this frankly terrifies me

This is a gratuitously bad take.

Did ANY games make use of the far left D-pad? I never held that side; always gripping the middle and right instead.

The game just needs a way to save progress when life gets in the way.

Like Returnal, we don’t need manual saves, we need save and quit. Just the ability to stop playing and go to bed, or go make dinner.

I know the hype for the Steam Deck is high because it was just announced yesterday, but I’m still struggling to figure out who this is for.

oh this looks like a fun article *clicks*

Look. Some of us are old now. Those 12+ hour marathons are 20 years in the past. I try that now and all I’m going to accomplish is a blood clot. And folks can snicker, but their day will come. Eventually you won’t give a shit about learning the timing of phase 3 of whatever boss fight you’re stuck at.  You’re going to

I enjoyed the heck out of Mario Golf on the Game Boy Color, N64, and the GameCube so I’ll probably be picking this up. Never really cared at all about golf outside of the Mario Golf games, though (except for the excellent Golf Story, of course).

You’re not entirely wrong RE them going to ebay. But usually the reason they can even sell for a high price on Ebay is bitcoin mining. A gamer might find it hard to justify a 300% increase on MSRP, but for a mining operation this is just a calculable business expense.
