I cannot speak for Wisconsin, but in Michigan from Detroit all the way to the Saginaw Bay along I-75 is UAW (and other unions) territory, very blue (I might as well include the entire eastside of the state).

Clearly partial autonomy is not safer it temps the driver to do other things than drive (i.e. the Florida Tesla accident). But I am far from convinced that a fully autonomous car is safer.
My comment had nothing to do with unintended acceleration but the added temptation for a driver to be distracted from actually driving the car.
Just ask Topsy the Elephant, a target of Thomas Edison’s campaign against AC.
The railroads had this figured out years ago:
Nothing, just plain nothing. You can enforce nothing you can control nothing, there are no questions about how nothing works. Nothing is a proven system.
While I agree that this was most likely not Tesla’s fault. The problem is you can only warn people so much.
So true, so true.
Ya, it will be funny to see this guy get out and push his 0 lb ft 30,000 rpm car at every stop light to get it moving.
Jesus. BMW is going after Mercedes Benz’s jugular with this one, they are even making the AMG “sound” sound rather feeble.
Hah, that is funny. An EMT would know better to interfere unless it was with their own crew. Because they would be unfamiliar with the protocols and risk the patient’s life.
Well said, very, very well said.
Oh, I was just trying to point out the crazy guy in the Saturn with the plastic back window.
Part of the reason why our rates our so high is that they base it off of how drivers drive in Detroit.
AMEN!!!!!!!!
Our own Patrick George has told us all about the horrors of driving in Virginia. But it also could be chalked up to his terrible relationship with Camaro’s.
I have to admit the Mounties are awesome.
Nevermind
