Elevator pitch for a Veggietales hybrid movie?

I mean, if you’re dead set on having a Big Name Actor voicing Garfield, Offerman is possibly the best choice available. I just don’t see how he could be better than Frank Welker, who’s been voicing the fat cat for years since Lorenzo Music’s passing, and who’s done a good job of capturing Music’s essence while still

“Harassing” would have even been a better word choice, since, while having negative connotations of its own, it at least avoids implying the sort of power imbalance that “bullying” does. Someone else suggested “public shaming”, which I think also works.

Take this star; I snagged one that was circling around Zaslav’s head.

If this is true (and it does seem likely), I’d suspect it had a much greater impact on WBD’s decision to allow Coyote vs. Acme to be shopped around than the complaints of the (in WBD’s view, presumably) peons who worked on it.

“Bullied” is a really weird word choice in this context...

I’m OK with Chris Pratt as Garfield; not my first choice, but he’s been perfectly fine in his other voice acting roles, and doesn’t sound jarringly out of place here. Frank Welker would obviously have been better, but studios are still inexplicably obsessed with Big Name Actors for established cartoon characters.

And, of course, for superhero movies, it’s only possible to have strong characters, stories, and universal themes when the lead character is a male, right? Since you’re saying that “don’t have women lead our movies” is a lesson Marvel needs to learn.

Thanks; I’ve now got it downloaded and backed up.

Same crew as what? You obviously can’t be referring to the cartoon from which the still at the top of the page was taken, as it’s nearly 60 years old.

Fair point on the screencap being from one of the few tolerable post-shutdown cartoons, although it still strikes me as an odd choice.

Deadline’s reporting includes the claim that WBD is taking a $30M tax write-off (or write-down, not sure which (or if there’s even a difference)):

Now that’s my kind of speedrun!

I’m fond of Arthur Christmas; lesser Aardman is still better than 90% of other Western animation.

That’s a high bar for a lot of people in... well, pretty much all the USA now.

Not if they have to skootch the bin over every single week.

Based on this guy’s other comments, he apparently genuinely believes that socialism is equivalent to hardline Marxism. I’m guessing no one is going to get him to change one syllable of what he’s repeating over and over again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, did Disney+ actually allow the f-bomb(s) to explode, or did they incorporate enough of a delay in their broadcast to bleep out any words that would make Martha Evangelical to faint? (Although those same words are, of course, perfectly acceptable to use when referring to Biden, Obama, or really any Democrat,

The increasing prominence of Michael Cudlitz as the series’ version of classic baddie Lex Luthor.
