The first Haunted Mansion movie actually came out before the first PotC movie. As did the Country Bears movie, which at least has Christopher Walken as a villain.

I remember watching most of Stephen King’s Golden Years back when it first aired, and finding it reasonably engrossing; from time to time I wonder if I should track it down and revisit it...
That movie could be deeply, irredeemably horrible, and that tagline alone would save it from being on this list.

If we are okay with A.I. being used to replace artists (or critics or journalists or pretty much anyone, really), if only to line the pockets of the people who are actually already-rich and have more money than they could ever spend in a lifetime, then we’re lost.
That’s not counting the $15M it took in Wednesday and Thursday, though. And its budget is apparently lower than most big animated wide releases, estimated at around $70M. Depending on its staying power and international numbers, it could end up a decent hit, but it seems unlikely to end up either a flop or a monster…
I fully expect someone to give me a third (a fourth, a fifth, a sixth...) possible scenario for this, but right now it looks to me like what happened falls into one of two categories:

Edge of Tomorrow would be fine for something from Asimov or the Star Trek franchise; for a creature-feature shoot-em-up, it’s a bit too vague and pretentious.
