You wouldn’t need super-hardened steel like you would for stamping, but it’s gotta be robust enough to take the heat of liquid zinc, a few hundred thousand times.

To me, all the car fonts looked pretty spectacular until the modern era of “branding” when companies decided on a one-font-fits-all approach that doesn’t even allow for adaptations based on contours, seams, or opening panels.
