How about my Volvo 740: it’s getting a Chevy 250 I-6 engine, a 3speed transmission, with Porsche 924 seats, and no other interior bits. it’s being built to do the lemons rally/ autocross/ rally cross/ drifting (oh yeah Porsche brakes on a separate brake system for skids) during the lemons rally maybe it not break down…

GM’s MO in that era was quite infamously to launch a half-baked model and improve it over the course of its’ run until it was finally the car it should’ve been all along, at which point the sales were negligible because the reputation was ruined by the early models so they dropped it the next year.
