How the hell could anyone believe that Hal, the guy who’s been doing a dollar store Hannibal Lecter all season, actually died in a bus crash during a prison transfer?

I don’t think they were doing it grudgingly at the end. Those pies seemed to have an odd addictive quality.  Linda and Teddy seemed to be eating them compulsively.  Like the time the whole family got hooked on cat kibble

Teddy, at the Belcher’s car: “It looks like there were signs of a struggle.”

Pretty fun episode, though I was disappointed that the pies didn’t meet some fate funnier or more related to the main story than being begrudgingly eaten by Linda and Teddy. They weren’t even thrown in anyone’s face!

Gene: OH NO WE OFFENDED THE GOD OF BOWLING, EARL ANTHONY!

Oh, hi marshmallow.

“Lane 5 don’t do that.”

And of course, leave it to Bob to miss the perfect opportunity to promote his place by having the WIXU/Tude van park right out in front of Bob’s Burgers, blasting out songs and annoying Jimmy Pesto’s al fresco diners while inviting everyone to come on down for the ABSOLUTE best burgers on the entire Shore....

“The sweet potato has no marshmallows!”

Missed opportunity! With the sweet potato subplot this episode could have had a Marshmallow cameo.

Yeah... I thought the absurdity of Bob’s position on sweet potato fries was nicely mirrored by the kids feigning sympathy and outrage about T-shirt giveaways, bumperstickers and “radio friendly music on the radio”... it’s a ridiculous mountain to die on.

Of course “the people who like you really like you” is the perfect encapsulation of Bob’s Burgers fandom. The show has never had the cachet or the popularity of the Simpsons or Family Guy but it’s been consistently great. And the fans freakin’ love it.

Clem: “We could just set it on fire and call it a day”

Louise: “Dad, let’s hear him out”

“Pretending to look it up, wishing I hadn’t come in here today...”  I forgot how much I enjoy Mort’s infrequent appearances.

“Do you think they just have Rob Huebel on speed dial? This was his eighth time voicing a different character. He’s always a welcome voice in a supporting role.”

Oh great, now Toni has to save Cheryl from another cult

Can someone please explain to me why Veronica would want her parents together so much that she would fake a death threat towards her mother to keep them together

“I’m trying to keep this family together”

I feel like the treatment of Kevin as a character and Veronica saying “my best Gay” in S1 kinda disproves the whole in tune thing

The show doesn’t care about gay culture. They care about what straight people see as gay culture. That’s why they have Kevin out there calling his own father a hot piece of ass (in so many words) when they would never have a girl say something like that. They know many straight viewers have that view of gay men, just
