- I really felt for Louise as she tried to get into her game.

Is it that modest? It’s generally agreed by anyone who tries one of Bob’s burgers that they are very good. He shows great creativity in what he does. Compare that to Pesto (or many of the other restaurateurs we have seen) who can’t make a decent burger, and who is known to cut corners, and Bob seems to be something

“You bet your ass its a triple dip”

I wasn’t really feeling this one. I think for the Esther character to really work she needed to be at least a little sympathetic. It’s hard to care about someone who’s that nasty to children getting their happy ending.

I loved when Zeke tried to support Mr. Frond’s excitement for the field trip. He was a little late, but damnit he’s trying.

I love how Bob and Linda skillfully slid the flyer guy over to Jimmy Pestos place, and that guys boss approved it. Yeah! Score one for Bob!

Thats so cool!

I feel like they’ve been gradually including and peppering in references to past episodes over the course of the series. BB will never be a show that is chalkfull of callbacks but they’ve been doing some world building, even just in terms of how many seemingly one-off characters as far back as S1 and 2 will pop in

Interesting that Tina likes a body part besides butts.

they see something amazing in the glowing algae, which I am assuming is a real thing

Two words: leg knobs.

One of the best things about Bob’s Burgers is its rich cast of characters: Trev has shown fleeting bits of insecurity when Jimmy slaps him down for this or that in the past, so he has a history which works perfectly here.

Without much hyperbole, I think the changing of Dan Belcher to Tina Belcher may be the most critical last minute change any show has ever made.

“That’s one for the Ank Bank.” was such a good line.

Pretty much in total agreement here, except that I’d add “Stand By Gene” to your list, for my money one of the show’s best overall.

Personally I think this show is a great example of how the best ensemble comedies rely on the cast (voice actors or otherwise) riffing off of each other, complementing each other, and otherwise creating a gestalt. Louise is my probably my favorite Belcher, but even in Louise-centered episodes the other Belchers always

“Gene Belcher is annoying. He’s loud, self-obsessed, and not especially bright.”

I love that how of all the adults in this town who want to control teenagers, she’s the only one who’s figured out that the best way to do that is to Den Mother them rather than try to treat them as mini-adults (HIRAM I AM LOOKING IN YOUR DIRECTION.)

I thought it was funny how abrupt the Red Paladin story ended in this one. It’s almost like the writers got as sick of it as we did, haha. “OK, fuck it. Call in the cards so we can be done with it.” I’m surprised they got ALL the cards, too. I figured they’d get all but one. (Though it was kind of satisfying to see

“Get out of here, Dad! We don’t want you! Go on, get... until tonight! Please come back tonight!”
