All this talk about how the Serpents need the Gargoyles, need the numbers, need the muscle, etc...for what? To not commit crimes?

Yes, also every adult Serpent jumped ship after riot-night when Jughead was put in charge. Is it possible before they merged with the Gargoyles that it was down to just Jughead, Sweet Pea and Fangs?
I legit started laughing when Jughead revealed his brilliant plan to the other gang members. By the way, how large is Riverdale? As they seem to have an endless number of gang members there.
Jughead: “We need something to give our street gang moral purpose and keep us on the right side of the law.” So, after all this time, including being born into the life, he STILL doesn’t understand how street gangs work? Also, is “professional snitches” a moral purpose? Also, how is FP allowed to give anyone school…
Agreed, they need to give Archie time to learn and grow from the grief, and it would be consistent with his character given the lengths to which he went last season to avenge his father’s shooting by the Black Hood. I’m continually frustrated by the ample character development opportunities on this show being…
Calling someone Heckle and Jeckle was common from grown-ups and children when I was growing up, too. It could be used affectionately or derisively, depending on the behavior of the pair in question.
I’ve really only gotten sadder over his death upon reading all the tributes pouring in. I always pegged him for a nice guy, but I had no clue just how decent and kind he was.
I love Cheryl but she needs to get her shit together. Blackmailing Toni by threatening not to let her have gang meetings at the mansion (or maybe even live there?) if she held her responsible for breaking gang rules was particularly low, and there was no way Toni was going to stand for that.
Luke Perry will be missed, in general and on the show. I did not really know his work before Riverdale and was taken by surprise at how fantastic he is as Fred.
I guess that, depending on what they’ve already completed, the should could shift Fred scenes enough so that his death comes as a season finale thing? A phone call or something to Archie or maybe Mary simply looking at him with a very watery expression and him asking ‘what’s wrong? Mom, what is it - what’s wrong?’ and…
I actually loved that this episode best meomeng all about Louise realizing that, as annoying and rigid as Frond is, its because he truly cares about the kids at the school, even if its in his own crazy way...and when you look back at the show’s history and evolution, the reveal just clicks.
That’s kind of what I was thinking. The only reason he was firing Frond in the first place was to open up a job for his deadbeat brother in law. When the bro-in-law decided it would be a pain, there’s no reason for Frond NOT to keep the job.
Louise makes for a wonderful school ruler. And surprisingly she leaned chaotic good in this episode.
“What did I get?”
So many things about this episode that could have pushed my buttons but didn’t (Wacky Hat Day came close). Frond actually knowing and worrying about every student’s sensitivities. Louise being a great principal. Tina going along with absolutely everything but verbalizing about it. The only thing I didn’t really get…
I like how they remembered Bob’s unfinished tattoo in that credit sequence.
“Everybody wins!”
I think it was Frond’s brushing her “Principal” status aside that inspired her to really make the most of it. It was picking the lock and having to consolidate her power by conspiring with Mrs. Schnurr that put her on the path of actually exploring what her administration might accomplish.
I recall from my own jr. high school days long ago that some kids managed to “borrow” the janitor’s 36" bolt cutters, and proceeded to loot whomever’s locker they wished. Of course, that’d kind of cross a destructive line for this episode, and I guess it’s not out of the question that a school as half-assed as…
