if i could star your comment a thousand times, i would. absolutely spot on.

reading this just makes me feel sad. i’m not american, but i have a strong sense that the american people have been let down by the agencies that are meant to protect and support them. i am thinking particularly of the media, who knew all about this dossier for months and kept silent, when instead they should have

watching biden receive that medal just uplifted by soul. his speech was wonderful afterwards. how is it that i can have so much affection for someone i don’t know?

or she is a controlling b*tch. it is ok to be a feminist and acknowledge that some women are deeply unpleasant people. any decent parent would go for a sealed divorce from day one.

exactly. it is not ethical to diagnose someone without examining them in person and/or reviewing their notes.

hmm. i don’t think any reputable doctor would diagnose alzheimer’s without carrying out a medical assessment or at least personally reviewing the notes of the patient.

no love for piper at all. hollie marie combs is a terrible actress.

i agree that there appeared to be technical difficulties, but the situation was compounded by carey’s failure to commit to a soundcheck that would have ironed out those difficulties. frankly, she did not look sober during that performance, which would not have helped either. her “don’t care” tweet after the event was

that is kind of you, i doubt they need or would value your compassion; you are an ant to the likes of them.

THIS. it’s clear she can’t sing the high notes anymore, but there were other songs she could have sung that were less taxing (“shake it off”, for example), or just change the vocal arrangement.

that is perhaps part of mariah’s problem. if you failed at your job, and let down others as a result, but just did not care, that would suggest life is not going too well for you, n’est pas?

thank you for sharing that. stepping in for a friend is the very definition of being a good sport...not so much when it comes to mariah, who lacks professionalism, was not prepared and got found out.

it’s sad that this should even have to be explained to anyone. hearing a talented singer sing live is more exhilerating than any pre-recorded track could ever be.

that is exactly what happened. she is lazy, and lacks professionalism.

i found those films forgettable, but i do think “the living daylights” is my favourite title for a bond film. there’s something very cool about it.

another excellent recommendation. that is the only bond film that has any real emotional punch, and a layered female character in mrs bond.

you don’t get those memorable, powerful female characters like mayday in bond films anymore. that all ended after brosnan, and was cemented by the death of m.

true, but i find them all more entertaining than anything craig has done.

die another day is probably my favourite of brosnan’s bond films. unfortunately i don’t like any of craig’s bond films at all.

i can’t be the only person who thinks the real (and funny) star of that exchange was the lovely woman with white/lilac hair.
