Honestly, I'm not rich, not even close to wealthy, in this console war that you speak I have a side, is called games. I don't have to suffer or fight childish battles in which console have better exclusives, I just do my research, focus on one game and brought it home to be played.
You can get an Xbox One for $350. Most people aren't going to be happy for very long with a gaming PC they build for under $350. Most console owners will be happy with their console until the next gen. The "PC is cheaper" argument is not really accurate.
Don't get me wrong. I love PC gaming. I love console gaming,…
For a second I thought you were saying buying a PC for gaming is cheaper than buying a console. hahaha. Yea cuz nope.
I feel like that's an odd "factor" for this list....fun factor is implied for any of them, its entertainment.
I bought my PS4 based on three things:
I'll never understand why the PC masturbaters have such a hard time grasping the concept that console exclusive gamers don't feel the desire to spend the money to build a PC and prefer the EASE OF ACCESS, it doesn't take 20 minutes of fucking with drivers, fucking with settings, possible constant crashes or shit like…
What is also known is that if you're on a budget and prefer console gaming to PC gaming, than the PC really isn't an option. Like lol wut?
I'm quite surprised that more people didn't get PS4 for exclusives. I feel like everyone I know bought it for them.
There's way more complexity for deciding how each factor applies in a particular case (thanks, law), but the basic idea is to CANE it: Character, Amount, Nature, and Effect.
It is being labeled as a "gritty reboot"/fan film. Not a parody. Yes, it had ham and winked towards the original series but this is in no way the same as what South Park or Family Guy do. It is not simply satire/criticism - it's a rather well-made fan film that is infringing on a license they didn't own. Had they not…
I guess I don't see the satire/criticism angle. This is playing the power rangers straight up, it's not lampooning them, or using them as a critical device, they are literally continuing the narrative from the original story without the original creator's authorization. I agree copyright and DMCA are at tension with…
My view on this has changed over time. I have been gaming since the 70's so I have lived the transition. I use to enjoy the games where you really had to try things over and over again until you got it just right. Jumping through a certain area without falling, getting past a boss, etc.
Fair Use is not a right, it is a legal defense. No one on this thread seems to understand what exactly fair use is. Making money or not making money is NOT a fair use factor, it is certainly good anecdotal piece of information that helps the fair use defense, but it is not an actual factor.
I always thought this was one of Scarecrow's better stories. He gasses an undercover Bruce Wayne, but instead of amplifying his fear, this gas removes fear, so we got to see an episode of Batman with absolutely no fear, not afraid of bullets, dangers, or even of killing someone.
I was so disappointed that Deathstroke wasn't more important to the plot in Origins, after he was featured heavily in the marketing material.
DLC can work just fine, buuuut, it needs to be handled just right. The biggest sin is day one DLC, or any DLC like it was originally intended to be apart of the full title. People will pay for extra features that they truly believe to be extra features, but if they think a piece of DLC was something within the…
In my last piece I revealed that 51% of gamers have bought DLC and 25% have bought a season pass in recent months. Now I want to explain how the immense popularity of DLC makes games better.
