Actually, spinning the mass is relatively free (inertia). Accelerating the mass is not free, there are some pumping losses, but it's not worth the cost of a new starter motor.

I never said that Non-hybrids couldn't have electric steering, my own car has electric steering but isn't a hybrid...
No they don't, in a non-hybrid there's no way to have hydraulic pressure without the engine running. Both 'normal' power steering and brake assist require hydraulic pressure.
This guy's got it. MPGs in the moving vehicle has much more to do with friction with the air than within the engine.
Bullllll shitttttt
Gotcha, yeah, that is a good bit higher than the sixth gear in the manual transmission which is just under 2000RPM at 70MPH.
That's true, so I wonder what it's max velocity is when traveling out of the Earth's atmosphere? Either way, in relation to those on Earth, the Space Shuttle (or anything that's not in geosynchronous orbit) move pretty damn fast.
I edited it about 1 minute after I first posted it because I thought it would be better to have the speed of travel. Perhaps your page was loaded in that hot minute where the extra verbiage didn't exist.
Umm... no I didn't, "Orbited the Earth at 17,320MPH"
Not sure that this particular polymer is made from petroleum, is it for sure? Looks a bit too synthetic to me...
Not exactly what I'd call a vehicle. Maybe a vehicle of PAIN! (and mean sunburns)
Powered by Hydrogen, and APCP.
I wonder if the DSG is putting it in top gear? In my 6M 40MPH would be just a bit above idle in 6th gear. I can't imagine the DSG would put it in the top gear if the ratios were the same. I'll cruise in 6th at 50MPH, but nothing less than that.
I've done a few jaunts at 55MPH and have gotten ~60MPG. Nothing much lower than that for any period of time...
A/C on, top gear, 45MPH, you'll get 63MPG easily if there's no wind around. Cross winds mess with MPGs something fierce.
Oil filter is the easiest thing to change. Don't know what its like on the GTI, but probably very similar. ObvObviously this is changed at every oil change, not just 40k.
Yeah, so for a 6M car it's just a oil change and fuel filter change. You can choose to do the cabin filter if you want. Conditioning?? How are they going to condition the fuel? wouldn't you have to do that every 500 miles?
What's the 40K service cover? And isn't it included in the "free service"? I have a 2010 Golf TDI and don't remember any onerous 40K service...
For somebody who doesn't give a shit about Camaras (phonetic spelling, that's how it's said in the south), it does surprise me that a Z/28 handles well... Historically they have not, so [for me] it's not about what Chevy set out to do, it's about the consumer's surprise to hear that a Camara handles well.
