Doug, why are you always right? It's pissing me off!!

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense to me... I'd have a chat with somebody in HR and they could probably straighten it out for you..
It could be that you haven't worked there long enough. Some companies will not let you participate until you've worked at the company for x years. Simply saying you must be 21 is definitely age discrimination. However, if they say you must work at the company for at least 3 years then that'd be OK...
Really glad you told me something that was in the first paragraph...
I think the problem is much deeper than inflation, though. Overall China just doesn't play well with the rest of the world. Number one they don't generally recognize patents nor care about intellectual property. This is working out pretty well for them right now, but in the future I can see this leading to gross…
U.S. auto sales are bouncing back and there's no end in sight to growth in China. Is the European market permanently screwed, or can car companies make a comeback?
I think that first paragraph of your's is possibly the longest sentence I've ever read. I think I've seen longer, but I didn't bother to read them...
I was going to find this as well. It worked for my 2010 Golf back in the day as well...
Agreed... looks pretty tacky.
Without proof that he's actually driving the car, I see this being dropped quite quickly. Just because they found a car speeding through NYC on traffic cameras and they found who the car is registered to doesn't prove he was driving...
I was gonna say it kinda looks like Manila except the roads leading out of the intersection are empty. In Manila those would be backed up too...
Not that I really give a shit, but I was the one who brought up the whole MP4 bit of this conversation... Now ol' Stevo there enlightened me on the Project 4 bit of that. I had no idea that Ron Dennis' team was Project 4. I never quite understood why it was Marlboro Project 4. But with Steve's explanation it does…
MP (of MP4-xx fame) used to stand for Marlboro Project. Although they now say that it stands for McLaren Project...
Emergency stops...
Beats me... I'd never buy a Civic.
Yes, I change my own oil. Mostly because the dealership wants $80 just to change oil. This is really what I was referring to, you could take a Civic to Jiffy Lube and get an oil change for $20.
I agree wholeheartedly on the financial aspect. If you are looking purely at money, then it's really hard to beat a Honda Civic in terms of initial cost and long-term maintenance costs (strike two against TDIs, they require expensive oil, albeit only 10k miles).
+1 for "1)" in your post. Those comments on #7 are classic/great/spot-on.
I had a 1990 Jeep Cherokee that had only a speedo and fuel gauge and it was a 5 speed manual transmission. The clock was on the radio which had an LCD screen that had missing sections so you couldn't tell what time it was... Loved it.
