Can't we be optimistic in our alternate histories? Why does it always have to be nuclear war and Nazis win WW2, or the Confederacy wins the American civil war?

I thought Donald Glover was making a film about Tousaint L'ouverture and the Haitian revolution?

To be honest, my favourite alternate history is if the German (and perhaps Italian, or other western European) revolution had succeeded. The whole course of the 20th century could have been changed right there: no Nazism, perhaps no Stalinism in Russia or Maoism in China… but beautiful pure democratic socialism. On

Why should we stop calling "these people" Nazis/fascists when they are enacting policies that are very much reminiscent of Nazism/other forms of fascism?

You think "jokes" and "Nazis" are mutually exclusive? It can certainly be two things.

I don't wholly agree with every single thing you're saying but you make a lot of fair points.

Yeah, but fascism has always been somewhat ridiculous and its leaders simultaneously clowns and monsters. The only reason the Nazis and their allies are taken seriously is that they murdered so many people, and that isn't really an achievement. Any fool can kill. Being ridiculous and being dangerous aren't necessarily

Well, OK then. I'm a spicy egg. Now I know. I hope I'm an anthropomorphic egg that goes on adventures, like Dizzy?

Personally, I wouldn't liken Trump & Co, or Marine Le Pen & the FN, etc to Nazis and other fascists if they would stop reminding me quite so strongly, by their words and actions, of Nazis and other fascists.

Define "white". Define "devil".

Can quite a large percentage of "whitey" find a way of dealing with their pathological insecurities that doesn't involve handing state power to far-right lunatics?

Where a person was born tells you literally nothing about their politics or their character. Not paying taxes when you're a billionaire says a lot about how much you really care about the country and the people who live in it.

That a billionaire avoids paying taxes says quite a lot about his attitudes and his suitability for political office, especially when he makes all these claims about his supposed patriotism.

So they're the same except for all the ways in which they're fundamentally different and irreconcilably opposed? That's exactly as dumb, if not more so, than saying that Trump and Clinton are exactly the same (obviously they aren't).

"YOU MUST BE THIS PALE TO VOTE———->"

It's a concept which I strongly suspect was lifted from Stephen King. 'Oculus' is basically a cross between 'The Reaper's Image' and '1408'.

Can it be a black goat who turns out to be an incarnation of Satan?

What are you… young?!
