Basically no sports are revenue generating at Canadian universities. Canadian universities still have sports because they recognize that sports are good.

Non-Revenue college sports existed before the billion dollar tv deals, they can exist if players are compensated their worth.

To me, that’s like saying the robotics club shouldn’t exist either. Or any activities on a college campus that are funded by another part of the college.
