It can be tough to make time to shake hands with the President of the United States when you already made plans to, umm, do laundry that day.

Steph is just one example. If you don’t think there is an abundance of non-racist Republicans and independents out there that are sick of hearing high paid athletes and celebrities piss and whine about Trump than you’re deeply out of touch with reality. Smart business would be to shut up, keep quiet and enjoy your…
Considering nobody buys Steph’s ugly ass shoes to begin with, I’m leaning toward this being a non issue.
This seems like a non-story. The ceremony would probably have happened in the middle of the week when school is in session, and you just can’t expect UNC players to skip classes.
how are people still dumb enough to fall for this shit? Hey guys, nothing to see here with health care and North Korea. Nope - throw a couple shots out at athletes and holy shit look what controls the news and social media cycles. Both ways, this is the dumbest shit ever.
Jersey Mike’s is the best. Way better than Subway/Jimmy John’s. So far no cases of their spokesman killing endangered animals or being a pedophile either, which is a plus in the sandwich game. Get the pepper relish.
Kick It Out called it “offensive and discriminatory” and said “racist stereotypes are never acceptable, irrespective of any intention to show support for a player,” per the BBC.
Unlike 99% of the dumbass parents at my kid’s 11U baseball games, I am comfortable admitting that I have no fucking clue whether that was a legitimate balk.

when you get down to it.....her comments have cost her employer immensely. Millions
This. “If we get embroiled in politics, we can’t properly worship the almighty dollar properly... THINK ABOUT THE MONEY, PEOPLE!”
I am going to be that guy- This has nothing to do with the First Amendment. She is free to say Trump is a racist. And ESPN, a private company, is free to fire her/punish her/do nothing to her if it feels like it.
Also, in printed form, it would be libel, but that’s neither here nor there.
I guess I just didn’t like the servile tone, or the fact that she apologized at all. She has nothing to apologize for, let alone to genuflect and pledge allegiance to the very company seeking to censor her.
I’d argue that her platform as an ESPN personality is valuable to her cause.
She does stand by her beliefs. She did not apologize for what she said, she apologized for ESPN becoming involved.
One of my favorite memories of a subtle but stinging burn was when Charles Barkley was a guest on College Game Day, and he brought things to give the hosts. When he handed Kirk Herbstreit his, Charles said “here’s a free gift for you, which should remind you of your time at Ohio State”, and then a second of awkward…
I’ll be in the minority here...and say fuck this kid.
“Free Labor” that allows you to develop a social network with substantial influence should your football career not pan out and a degree that most people have to take loans out to get paid off over the span of, basically, life.

Actually, I’d love to know your take. If Internet comment sections have taught me one thing, people with a “420" user name generally have some amazing insight.
