During the height of car price hysteria I was surprised to see our local Toyota dealership had used Toyotas on their lot with over 300,000 and even 400,000 km (186000 miles to 248000 miles).

I hate the growing trend of stores treating their customers like criminals.
Hardly a big win when you consider there are only 56 Arby’s location in the entirety of Canada. Ontario has the most locations at 29, but if you’re in downtown Toronto by the CN Tower you have to drive 50 km (31 miles) to get to the nearest location in Burlington.
I don’t know why they haven’t killed off the 1500 Classic yet, it seems like the market, in Canada at least, is oversaturated and they’re going to have to put a lot of cash on the hood to move these trucks. Hell, 2023 models are offered with at least $7000 in discounts on the configurator and some dealerships are…
No other cars that I’ve ever heard of, which is what made the FoRS such a stand out. As I recall, the pricing in Canada was also about $8000 CDN cheaper than comparably equipped in the US. We got a sweet deal up here in the Great White North, but they were still asking over $50,000 for a hotted-up compact car.
Ford Focus RS delivered in Canada came standard with a second set of 18" wheels with snow tires, from the factory.
The Mazda B2200 is not a Ford Ranger. Mazda sold their own Japanese built truck in America up until 1993, then from 1994 on they were rebadged Ford Rangers. This generation of Mazda truck was found rebadged as the Ford Courier in some markets.
I might have seen a prototype one of these a few weeks ago. It was a prototype Cadillac EV with lots of camo but it looked too small to be the Escalade IQ and too big to be a Lyric. I’ve now seen 10 prototype GM EVs on the roads around my house in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I was surprised to see GM is doing so much R&D…
What about it’s platform mate, the Fiat 500X, is it also being killed at the end of 2023? That’s the ONLY thing Fiat currently sells in Canada/USA. Their Canadian and American websites do show teasers for the upcoming 500 EV.
THIS...is the face of a guilty man
I think the automakers are pissed off because they made plans and investments to hit the goal by 2030, and now that it has been pushed back by 5 years their money could have been spent in better ways. BMW, for instance, might not have spent $600M on their Oxford plant if they knew the goal posts were being moved.
Jeep Canada is showing a $1500 discount...whoopie
“Pretty sure that’s Nick Nolte, dude”
As far as I’m aware, if you buy the option with the car, it stays with the car for the life of the vehicle, even as the car is sold. From what I’ve seen though, FSD adds little to nothing to trade in values, so it’s not money well spent if you don’t plan on having the car for a long time.
That’s correct. It’s either a one time fee of $12k, or $199/month (until they change the prices two weeks from now). If you were interested in having the feature, you’d have to consider how long you plan on owning the car. The break even point is 5 years at these prices, so if you’re just leasing it for 3 years, it…
Dead to me: VW GTI and Golf R
Agreed, I got an Axial SCX24 Gladiator and it’s pretty fun to play with indoors over the winter.
Correct, the truck must be constrained to a metrology lab conditioned to 20 Celsius and 1 Atmosphere
To put this into perspective, a regular piece of printer paper is about 90 microns thick, so Elon expects a whole damn car to be accurate to within roughly 1/10 the thickness of a piece of paper. That’s not possible on a consumer vehicle. Hell, even that recent $30,000,000 Rolls Royce wouldn’t have tolerances that…
