I REALLY like that Peacock Green Metallic. It reminds me of the green/blue pearl paints Mazda and GM offered in the 2000s. I wish more fun colours were offered like that.

“Doesn’t matter if it’s torqued to spec or cross-threaded, tight is tight”
A fully loaded Gladiator Rubicon has an MSRP of ~$73,500 in Canada, which is in the ballpark of a fully loaded top trim level 1500 from GM/Ford/Ram. It must be a Jeep thing, because I don’t understand.
Can you even purchase an American made pen for less than ~$50? Would the union members be less angry if the UAW had spent 100 times as much for these commemorative pens?
I bought a cheap interior LED kit off Amazon for my 2014 Mazda 3 Sport and it really brightened up the cabin, but for some reason the one in the trunk damaged the body control module (BCM) and the trunk light would stay on constantly. Luckily, Mazda replaced the BCM under warranty, and I just put the dim factory…
Wasn’t there a rumour going around they were working on a Touring trim level that was going to have more equipment and a less obnoxious rear wing?
No problem, that’s just my understanding from reading about them.
The only Mazda that requires premium fuel in North America is the MX-5/Miata.
Most, if not all, engines with this integrated exhaust manifold design route coolant around the exhaust ports with a dedicated water jacket circuit. That allows them to draw heat from the exhaust ports after start up to warm other areas of the engine or cabin more quickly. Then the ECU can control flow during engine…
It might have. The image comes for a blog article published by Corksport, a company that makes performance products for Mazdas. They might have sourced once from a wrecking yard to conduct R&D for a high performance exhaust manifold.
I’d wager that I6 head design is for turbos, either a single twin-scroll or two single-scroll units. Mazda has been using their crazy looking tri-Y exhaust manifold on their naturally aspirated SkyActiv-G engines to enhance scavenging and cylinder cooling to permit high compression ratios.
It wasn’t trash, but I will concede it had some teething issues when it unveiled the turbo MZR DISI engine and AWD drivetrain. A dealership technician admitted to me that the CX-7 exhibited problems more often, even though it had the same drivetrain and a lower state of tune than the MS6.
I’ve seen that pic before but it just occurred to me that the top speed of 88 MPH was set by “DOC B” and there are flaming tire tread marks on the asphalt, just like in Back To The Future.
Or people with loud cars/bikes could rev their engines to set new scores on the dB display and reset the time.
100 years compressed into a minute long video and not a single Mazdaspeed model shown? Where is the Mazdaspeed Protege, the Mazdaspeed Miata, the Mazdaspeed 6 and the Mazdaspeed 3? They didn’t even show the 323 GTX or Familia GT-R.
Sounds great and still running with over 300000 km!
HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY MAZDA!
Damn, that’s a lot of money!
Mazda should build a production version of the RX-Vision, but they better not call it an ‘RX-#’ unless it’s got a rotary engine. Mazda dispelled the rumours that RX meant ‘rotary experimental’ and stated that RX means ‘rotary sport’ and MX means ‘piston sport’. Hey, throw a 400hp I6 in it and call it an MX-9, just…
I think every other company just wishes they had trademarked the name ‘Autopilot’ first because it has so much recognition among consumers.
