Wow, am I doing something wrong? I'm getting 350 ms ping, 0.26 Mbps down, 0.06 Mbps up, on a 4S also in NYC. I knew the signal near my office in the Financial District was crappy, but this makes me wonder whether my phone is configured wrong or something.

Oh wow, I really REALLY want those jumping stilts!

Plus, of course, if you're in Europe you have the alternative of getting around using a modern passenger rail system.

I'm grandfathered into an unlimited plan with AT&T, but my data usage tends to be between 400 MB and 800 MB/month; I can't even fathom how people routinely use over 2GB/month.

It needs to be something not entirely fact-based, like "do you care that Kim Kardashian is getting divorced?"

Worth a read for the tip about location-based iAds alone.

Where did the "girl-on-girl" in the post title come from?

"Free Wi-Fi in public places is damn near an unalienable right at this point."

    A) A product is worth what people are wiling to pay for it. If 4 million people have already paid $199 for the iPhone 4S, I think it's safe to say that the phone is "worth" $199.

Anyone know whether Apple stores (the brick-and-mortar ones) generally have these in stock? Trying to figure out whether it's worth a trip.

Gah, just noticed that too, what a pain.

    Thanks!

I have a question about this. Me and some of my folks share a family plan. Three of us have iPhones (two 3G and one 3GS). My sister and I (who have the 3G) both want to upgrade to the 4S. We're out of contract and eligible for the discounted upgrade and all that. If I go to the Apple website or the AT&T website

Umm... duh? Using a USA-based mobile phone internationally is expensive. This is hardly new to the iPhone 4S.

    It's poop. Nightsoil is poop.

    This.

The use of primarily cloud-based content is nice, but what about content I didn't buy from Amazon?

That says "everything you need to know" but it's just a bunch of links to your own articles. I don't need to know any actual information?

Don't care, just tell us when it's going to be available.
