You ok buddy?  Last couple articles seem a big rage-invoked.  I get the senseless deaths in the other one, but this is just about Tesla being Tesla.  Also other car companies have had unadvertised car packages for years, Copo Camaros, Neon ACR, so this is actually more standard car maker practice than usual for Tesla.

Definitely for non-consumer industries, airlines/cargo. Not sure if synthetic or better refined fuel. The amount of energy being used to create the fuel is also a concern. If it takes more energy to create the fuel which then doesn’t burn better than 50% efficiency that’s a real loss.

I’ll be following this with interest, but am a little leery of the chosen vehicle for mainly safety reasons. In a ‘you are the crumple zone’ kind of way. Similar to the old VW Microbus. As much padding as can be added to the dash is recommended.

Adding picture!

I’ve got one too! A Greenworks 21 inch! Actually all my lawn tools are electric now, even got a little electric chainsaw for cutting up small limbs and such. You’re right, no issues, starts every season, just have to keep the blades sharp.

I purchased a 2000 Ford Ranger EV just last year. I’d been driving a 1st Gen Volt for a few years and hardly ever used gas. I wanted a full EV but we also could really use a little beater truck.

Maybe get Rich Rebuilds as a guest provider, he’s at the forefront of EV Jalop’ing.

Man, I’m missing the style of the 90s concept cars, fanciful enough to be exciting, but not too out there to be unbelievable.  Especially Chrysler’s, seemed like they’d give anything a shot, Viper, Prowler, PT Cruiser, Ram, Crossfire, lackluster quality but they actually built the dang things!

Available names to use, probably go with Patriot for the Cherokee, and for the Grand Cherokee, if they still own the rights to Commando I say use that, then like every time you fill up the tank you are going ‘full Commando’

The year was 1995, and I was in the market for a nice used car, there was a Dodge Daytona on the lot, but a little too steep for me at about $9k, got the 1990 Sunbird for about $5k I believe. Nice to see that 25 years later the Daytona’s sibling here still goes for $9k...., or not.

I agree on the chrome on the front, especially if it can’t be deleted, and if it’s just a cheap plastic surround on the grill and not an actual metal grille.  With the red it just looks so bad, trying to picture how much nicer that would look if it was body colored or black.

The not allowing storage of energy is interesting. Potentially it’s cutting down even more emissions as instead of you banking extra power you have to feed it back to the grid, which allows the power companies to reduce their generator load, still kind of weird in ‘murica.

The Pao is on the right track but not seeing the easy serviceability-ness.  I’d say used Scion xB, quirky, economical, reliable, and sounds similar to Zion so priestly.  Also airbags and you can go through drive throughs easy.

Shutter it and move on. I’d argue that Scion, Mercury, Plymouth, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn all had more models when killed off, yes it sucks but it’s where things are headed, and have been for a while when Chevy/Dodge/Ford sell cars with prices that range from below 20ks to the upper 50ks now(with trucks) there’s no

Even the older manufacturers are running into issues moving to EV platforms, VW with their software, Hyundai and Kia with fires. The difference is within the first year they get most major things, and like in the case of VW, they hold releasing the cars until they can be updated.

I’ll be the outlier and say Plymouth, with the Neon as a small electric CUV to compete with VW’s ID3, the Voyager as a small 3rd row Crossover Plug-in hybrid, and the Barracuda as an electric convertible as their halo car.

I think the main concern is poorer people who have to travel farther for work as they can’t afford the housing closer to work, and the trucking industry, again, surprise, generally not wealthy people, they get so much per mile, but increasing the tax they’d need to get the equivalent raise per mile, which would

Neutral - I think all “state” roads should be toll to cover those costs and all “local” roads get paid for with property taxes as they currently do. It would involve everyone getting ez-passes and such but would then actually tax on usage, and also open up existing toll roads to all traffic.

Agreed, either move closer to work or try and find work closer to home, we’re not immortal, that’s 3 weeks a year just spent driving to and from work.

Oh yeah, my grandparents definitely had the plush cloth seated monstrosities, but several kids at school did too, old Cordobas and Bonnevilles, got a ride home from work in a Bonneville one time and the girl drove out the parking lot over the curb, was a mild thump more heard than felt, had to actually look back “did
