Dude she’s just a minimum wage schmuck working in a shitty call center, following a shitty script. Her calls are randomly monitored by her manager and she WILL get in trouble for going off script to give in to the customer too quickly.

Not only does SWA have awesome customer service, but they also will book you on a later flight AT NO CHARGE as long as you call them and tell them you’re stuck in traffic and wont make the flight.

Mrs. Orca and I had some serious WTFery with United a couple years ago. I decided to check out Southwest and not only did they fly where we needed to go, it wasn’t at dark o’clock. Since then, American, United and Delta can go eat a bag of camel assholes and I do mean the extra-large family-size bag from Costco.

with any online credit card purchase, there is a 24 hr “oops fuckit”clause that allows you to cancel and get your money back (for basically any transaction)  at a minimum I would have called the cc company and disputed the charge.

Plus, the old “cattle call” complaint is no longer valid. For average passengers, the Big Three have more of a cattle call, because everyone is doing the gate-cluster in desperation to have overhead space for their bag. Southwest, every person is assigned a number, and that’s where you stand, calmly to await boarding,

My uncle has an AmEx platinum. Between that and his veteran status he can get pretty much any company to do the right thing when they try to screw him.

My story is from 2016.
Prelude; Fuck American Airlines. With a rusty running chainsaw.

>The people who can’t afford the additional expenses are the only ones who get stuck with them

I despise flying post-9/11.

This happened to me with Spirit, which also didn't let me know about it until I went to check in for my return flight, and it was canceled. (I ended up hopping a bus instead of flying out because the weather looked like the outgoing flight might be canceled or delayed.) I was vaguely aware of airlines having these

“I stepped off the plane to use the restroom, and they left without me. Tulsa seemed nice so I, uh, hung out there for a couple of days.”

Just FYI, now they are talking about suing people for the fare difference if you don’t take the flight all the way to the end. I believe that Lufthansa was the first to do it, and you can bet the United/American/Delta are all salivating thinking about it (and how the Trump administration would back them 100%)

I’ve disliked American ever since they bought out US Air and immediately doubled prices.

My recommendation to you bruh is this: Amex Platinum. Make all major purchasing using that shit! To paraphrase the words of Bro. Baines in Malcolm X: I didn’t say SOME major purchases, make ALL major purchases using Amex Platinum. Why do you ask? I have found that they’re customer service is 2nd to none. They afford

Quite the contrary; American Airlines could have made accommodations but refuse to because they give zero fucks about customer service and companies like collecting two fees for a single item or service. The airline just got two fares on each of the seats they canceled after not doing Jack shit to move reservations in

You act like American airlines couldn't find a way to make a reasonable accommodation with their customer.  $2000 for a couple of Domestic tickets is a lot of money.  The customer service agent isn't barred by the laws of physics to help him out.  It's the company's choice to decide to screw over a customer like that.

I do some business travel, and while I didn’t know of this no-show-cancels-entire-trip policy, I do know that many of my colleagues and I prefer to book two one-way tickets instead of a round-trip. It may be more expensive, but it does allow for some flexibility.

Not only could that woman have told you about the no-show policy she SHOULD have told you. She’s a nasty bitch for not doing so. The worst thing about it is she screwed you over, American Airlines got free money out of you, and that dumb bitch is getting what minimum wage? How fucking stupid do you have to be to help

The worst part is that this “policy” is enforced in a discriminatory fashion. I had a flight delay into DTW recently that would put me past the dinner I was flying up for. I called the airline right away because I was aware of this policy and, like you, was told to kick rocks and buy a new ticket. I’m a pretty

It doesn’t always work, but bitching on Twitter can open doors and solve problems. Still, Fuck American Airlines.
