I think we can all agree that ESPN generally sucks and has for years. But “100 high-profile employees” may be a bit exaggerated. There were certainly some high-profile names in the lay off list, but I suspect not all would rate as such. I guess it depends on where we set the bar for “high-profile.”

That’s exactly what I thought when reading this headline. Not even a soccer guy, but I get this is a huge rivalry and no rivalry game is meaningless. OSU v Michigan, UNC v Duke, Alabama v Auburn, Yankees v Red Sox, etc..... It always matters regardless of record and impact on the standings.
