It’s all personality. Some people have loud personalities and have a much better time outwardly expressing those feelings, rather than bottling them up or suppressing them.

I’m not one of those people, but I totally get it.

Other intelligent life in the universe isn’t generally viewed as a complex theory, statistically it’s pretty likely, the conditions to do that are of course complex, but the presence or not as a concept is actually simple at such large sample size.

I wouldn’t say it’s a stretch, it’s always something you have to postulate and attempt to prove or disprove. If you ignore it you just end up ignoring evidence that doesn’t fit the theory you want and you end up with the standard hammer and nail argument.

I’ve just seen so many theories over the years about something possibly being of intelligent origin that ends up being natural phenomenon (the Dyson sphere planet comes to mind) that it’s hard to take these as credible claims.

To be fair given our current understanding of the universe and the fact these are outside our galaxy Occam’s Razor would actually support the theory of extra terrestrials. For an event that’s within our own ability or projected ability to reproduce in the future and has no known natural correlation an alien origin is…
