He's hardly a character at all, I'd say. Does he even have any dialogue that's not purely expository?

For God's sake, some book readers and their "most famous lines". What supposedly famous line is this? On the whole, "Jaime Lannister sends his regards" is more or less the only "famous" line from the books I'd have actually particularly noticed them cutting.
I doubt we'll get Oldtown this season, but seems like they might be preparing for that in Season 6? If Sam heads off to Eastwatch with Jon, he could get sent off that way to arrive next season. I wonder if we'll get Euron, too, in some Oldtownish capacity. He's distinctly not been erased from existence yet in the HBO…
Note: this is the real title of a biography of Warren, and he really was in Sigma Phi. So well done. I'm dubious that there were very many bachelorette parties in the 1910s.
No, there really isn't. We get Catelyn's POV, and she pretty clearly has no idea that Jon might not actually be Ned's bastard.
What about Grizz and Dot Com? They were both straight men, and pretty great.
"the town" is New York City, no?

Actually Stan Lee and Don Heck.
You'd think it would be worth it to Universal to just license Namor back to Marvel.
I'm not sure Tyrion is "wise." "Shrewd" would be a better word, I think.
Well, Barristan suggests Ashara had a bastard by "Stark," so it has at least some grounding.
Yeah, exactly. I'd add that it's not just that neither is a complete book. It's that even together they don't make a complete book. Over the past ten years, Martin has spent over 1600 pages painstakingly putting characters into place to do (maybe?) interesting things later on. He's introduced, what, at least four…
Indeed he did. Which is why the father must be Rhaegar. There'd be no reason for her to want it kept secret if Robert were the father.
Plenty of Targaryens with dark hair in the books - Rhaegar's daughter Rhaenys, for instance, and Baelor Breakspear, and probably some others. Also: why would Ned hide from Robert that Jon is his son?
So what? The majority of book readers have also figured it out by now.
Why on earth did they need all three Sand Snakes and Ellaria if they're all exactly the same?
Jaime's trying to save Myrcella. Mace Tyrell, er, seemed proud when Margaery was marrying Tommen? Kevan Lannister is ashamed of his son's religious awakening. I think that's all the father's we've got at this point, aside from Roose Bolton.
The Unsullied are great at close formation fighting on an open battlefield. They're not good at street fighting in enclosed spaces in cities. This seems perfectly reasonable to me, and is something the books point out, from what I recall.
This is certainly true. But they also have to tell a story where they have good story beats for each individual season. The way they split up Storm of Swords was already kind of a mess, so I can see why they're trying to avoid that.
