We're in the fourth episode of the season. Cersei is pretty obviously going to get her comeuppance, and it's already clear she's playing a very dangerous game here - trying to use the Sparrows and the Faith Militant to destroy the Tyrells without having them destroy her and Tommen too.

What other mysteriously alive characters do we have? I feel like he's been remarkably sparing of Dany's supporting cast in general. None of the blood riders have died, and none of the handmaidens since Doreah at the beginning of Book 2, even though literally none of them have any role in the story at this point. A

Yeah, they absolutely should have killed off Balon. Since Yara's apparently returning this season, perhaps he'll have died offscreen since the end of Season 3. Otherwise, I've no idea why you see the ten episode limit is arbitrary. They've basically said that, given the challenges of filming the story, ten episodes is

I find it utterly remarkable that Martin decided not to kill Strong Belwas at the point where it would have been totally reasonable to kill him off. I'm still not even sure why he's in the story at all!

I think you are fooling yourself if you think book!Loras has much of a personality.

An interesting feature of this season so far is the way that Tommen is functioning as an actual character, unlike in the books where he's just an adorable child. I really enjoyed the scene where he tries to visit the High Septon. It'll be interesting to see if they go anywhere with that.

Is this the time when people say "Cool story, bro"? It feels like this is that time.

Think how bad it must have been before Tywin destroyed Castamere and "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" was the *only* song in existence.

This kind of thing happened all the time in real history, though. Anne Neville, daughter of Warwick the Kingmaker, married the future Richard III, who was involved in her father's death, and their marriage was apparently perfectly happy. It's not like this is even a new idea for *Sansa* - she was previously engaged to

Pycelle: The Small Council has become small indeed.

Yeah, it definitely seemed like he's heard the rumors, at least.

Roose's plan seems sensible enough to me. Marrying his son to Sansa gives his rule over the North legitimacy to Stark loyalists, because Sansa is (apparently) the Stark heir. Although I wonder whether Rickon will show up again at some point this season. Where is he?

The Mad King had two sons - Rhaegar, who sang in the streets, and kidnapped Lyanna, and whom Robert killed at the Trident; and Viserys, whom we met in Season 1, and who was indeed a child at the time his father was killed. Rhaegar's wife was Elia Martell, sister of Doran and Oberyn, and they had two kids whom Gregor

He already knew who Jorah was before he got ungagged. He was humming "The Bear and the Maiden Fair"

Mace Tyrell: not actually dead yet.

It's not much of a secret at this point. The King's Landing mob were shouting "bastard" and "abomination" at Tommen. Everyone's heard the rumor, and Bronn is sharp enough to look at Jaime and realize it's true.

Victarion's an interesting character, I guess (I find him a bit broad), but there are people online who think he's *awesome*. It's utterly bizarre to me.

Can anyone imagine Ciaran Hinds being committed enough to the role to give a fuck about being killed off early?

The Unsullied are not well designed to be city watch officers. That's not what they're supposed to be about.

Littlefinger isn't relying on Stannis beating the Boltons! He's covering his bases for either possibility.
