I also don’t think people realize that the majority of us in this position are also just middle class people working our way toward retirement with bills and children and responsibilities as well. We’re not the fat cats on top, directors, or even managers. Just regular men and women working their way through life.
Doesn’t the ratification bonus make this a sort of a bribe? If you agree to the contract, we will pay you enough to make up for the loss in wages. So the UAW workers aren’t really being hurt by this strike at all.
