One short visit to Jalopnik after a very healthy hiatus from it’s insane views and I get this article suggesting an ass-hat getting doing dumb things that result in getting hurt is a worse result an innocent pedestrian or cyclist getting hurt due to an ass-hat’s dumb actions. Glad to see I haven’t missed much.

This article could easily be renamed to “I Don’t Like Having Personal Responsibility and Neither Should You... Also, My View is Absolute”.

Come to think about it, there are a who slew of GO articles that this title would fit.

There really isn’t much point in engaging in this conversation. All I’ll get back is ‘no look, BEV’s are way better and here is some soulless example!’. Too much of an echo chamber here to express real thoughts about why I don’t care for them, let alone much of any new ICE cars on the market.

Perhaps last line where you equate the actions of a few with the character of an entire group?

This is the Go-Go-Gadget version of a reach to create some political strife. Congrats.

Welcome to Jalopnink, an automotive enthusaist blog, where you’ll recieve shitloads of shade for loving manual transmissions or loathing invasive tech in cars that don’t add to the driving experience. Also, read this automotive journalist’s article about ‘amazing’ turn signal features that are on just about every car

Honda has basically the same policy. They don’t consider oil consumption excessive until it reaches 1 qt/1000 mi. Actual experience with a 2014 Accord if you were curious. Currently, it uses 1 qt every 1500 - 2000 miles. Which is neat since there is no published milage interval and has only a maintenance minder that

But wait!  It’s new and has technology.  How could it not be so much better?!?!

Can’t we just be sick of the screens in cars and not have to drive a pile of shit as the alternative?

This is precisely how I feel... What really sucks is that I thought I was biding my time till my income could afford me an upgrade, but the cost of the upgrade has been steadily out-pacing me for the last few years.

I truly understand and appreciate your point that it is overly complicated.

All this effort to get to space with rockets and technology (NASA, Elon, Bezos, etc...) and all along we could have just been throwing shit into orbit.

Publically, the dealer is sad and has compassion for the customers.  Privately, they are having a big fucking party while deciding what to do with the windfall from the markups many idiots will almost certainly be willing to pay.

Is ‘full stop’ supposed to indicate that there is no chance policies can change and you are eventually proven wrong. That said, does it mena there is zero room for debate, as your opinion is full and absolute authority?

Jalopnik version of ‘racing tech’: “This character line on the race car sort of looks like this character line on the production car, see?”

Also, the car still has a manual gearbox. The difference is that it’s now sequential rather than an H-pattern.

Solid effort guys, I feel those interested will know all about the

Well the 40 year veteran cyclist wasn’t there to have his ’he said’ counter argument, was he? A friend of mine had just complete a long ride with him 20 minutes before it happened. They parted ways to head to their respective homes. The dude was well known through the cycling community here for being a monster on the

What about my statement indicates to you that I have any loyalty or origin from Texas? It is regrettable that the combination of my ability to think on my own and your apparent inability to think outside of your chamber results in false statements.

I’m willing to bet that you take offense when people bash particular groups or entities for the garbage actions of a few ‘representatives’. This sort of shit happens everywhere, so stop pretending it’s a Texas problem just becuase you apparently don’t like Texas.

Here is an example in North Carolina where a fellow

You shouldn’t have taken the bait from such an idiotic statement... Simply ask for a cited reference next time and wait forever for actual facts to never roll in.

The best part about this is that people who do want those options but also want an MT might choose an auto becuase they value the feature creep more than the MT, and then manufacturers will conclude ‘no one buys manuals anymore.’ This is another case of the manufacture making the market rather than responding to it -
