Agreed—I take pizza orders for a living and have talked to a LOT of long term stoners, as you can imagine. They are, to a man/woman, blunted, dulled humans who can barely focus long enough to finish the under-a-minute, not mentally taxing conversation. Give me a drunk to deal with any time.

I totally agree. My ex is, what I would call, addicted to weed. He says he can’t “sleep” without smoking before bed but when we lived together he was literally smoking all the time. I asked him many times to just give it up because in my eyes he was addicted and it killed his motivation to do anything other than get

I agree, they aren’t right for each other and he should just move on. The fact they go for days without talking is probably the biggest indicator that he shouldn’t have proposed.

You’re responding to arguments that I never made! If you need a loan, like I did, you should get one. If you can manage to pay cash, do that. This was a post working through my own feelings about having had a loan. It’s not terribly complicated!

if your in the grey..like i am...its because you hold a slight conservative view..thats the problem with these forum types....you can be silenced just by others who dont agree with your view type...if anything..I view these pages are ultra liberal and only supportive of things they like

Of course you should use emergency savings to pay off credit card debt!!! If an emergency comes up, the newly available credit can always be drawn down again and you’re in no worse a position than when you started.

The only time I would even think about not paying that debt is if the work situation was very unstable, otherwise it woulda been paid yesterday.2 grand still covers a lot of emergency

Two phony rocket attacks in one week.

I thought running in and out of the bathroom every seven minutes was just known as “The Arby’s”.

Yes/no. You may be worse off, but you may not be. And the reason is taxes, and possibly company matching of contributions (I know not all companies do this).

Buffalo Trace Distillery has bourbons at every price point that I enjoy. Buffalo Trace for entry, Eagle Rare for an intermediate, and Elmer T. Lee for high range.

Alabama is so backwards that the ONLY liquor distributor for the entire state is.... the state itself. So if your tipple of choice isn’t on the state ABC buyer’s list, you’ll never see it. Such a great “small government” solution from our conservative state government. /S

Oh, come on. “You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch” is an awesome song! Such excellent lines as:

Well, that’s exactly how Mother Teresa did it..

“You can’t do good and be poor at the same time,” Millender testified.

I for one can’t wait to see Christopher Plummer in Deadpool 2.

Home improvement projects are so satisfying once they’re done (says the girl who lives in a tiny apartment but did put her ikea furniture together on her own)

Emotions don’t work that way. There’s no “should” about it. Emotions arise exactly as they due regardless of our personal wills. I’ve never understood the desire of some people to manage, not just people’s external actions, but their internal world as well.

And, see, I will almost go deaf while listening to many of these.

Want your mind blown, man?
