This was my point with one of your posts many, many moons ago. These plastic fasteners from the 80's to today are horrible to work with. Your point was that cars from that era are the best to wrench. I agree that they are more fun than the 70's malaise era cars and better than the crap-boxes of the 90's but damnit all

No - I haven’t edited a post in many months (not because I haven’t effed something up, just that I usually don’t see the eff-up before you can’t edit it anymore).

Bear repellent is really rough stuff - almost chemical-weapon levels of capsaicin in some of that stuff.  I’m with you, but that would be dangerous to unleash on someone.  Imagine they were in traffic and a friend opened it - could cause one hell of an accident.

Check my second paragraph - it does come off of your taxable income if you have enough total deductions that itemized is greater than the standard deduction.  If you don’t have that much, it’s immaterial whether or not you own your home - you’re getting the standard $24,400 next year (married/joint).

I think you’re dead on here. We are overdue for a recession and that $15/vehicle/change savings will become worth if for a number of people by changing it themselves. I don’t know if they’ll all buy oil from Amazon, but I think that there will be more DIY-inclined people doing this for themselves.

Like all of these small trucks, they were only good if they were loaded to the right capacity and if the frame integrity stayed put. I saw one of these get completely broken as a kid at a gravel pit when a guy had a ton of sand loaded into the bed of one. I guess that the operator put the load too far forward of the

Kinja has just been hosed recently - like they took away the ability to link when someone stars a comment that you’ve made. Not sure what happened, but they’ve taken a broken product and made it worse.

This exactly - remember this is Taxable income. So if you have a 401(k)/ 403(b) that comes off the top. If you pay property taxes because you own your home, that comes off the top. Also, if you have a Health Savings Account, that money reduces your taxable amount as well.

If you are trying to find something for kids to do, at Crown Centre there is something called Kaleidoscope. It is sponsored by Hallmark and is completely free. It starts at certain times of the day so check the website: https://hallmarkkaleidoscope.com/

All of them...the answer with David is always ‘I took them all home.’

Pair the cataloging of these items after a purge/review/removal of your non-essential items. So, after you’ve spring-cleaned a room and gotten it organized, whip out your phone, walk around the room and film it talking about the most important/valuable/expensive to replace items.

I have my BGE in a wheeled nest and roll it in and out of a garage every time. I’ve had it for 7 years and I’ve never had an issue while rolling it. You definitely have to pull it as you move it instead of pushing as you don’t want it to tip over. If the only thing holding you up from buying this is whether or not you

I own a Big Green Egg and I love it. But I had the chance to see these Kamado Joes in person a while ago.

My two boys are very truck/tractor/farm centered so I’d add the Tractor Mac and Otis series of books. Very good illustrations and good stories that you don’t have to be too rural to enjoy.

He just drove one of these rolling reasons for a tetanus shot from Detroit to Virginia for Thanksgiving. We all have somewhere we need to go depending on the day. Many of us have parents aging at different (and in the case of my MIL - accelerating) rates that may require getting a phone call and driving the next 12+

I’m going to join in the intervention here.

Yep - time to go. If there’s another hospital or office she can go to, it’s time to pack her stuff and get out. It sucks having to leave, but better to leave with your head up than with the passion for your career beat out of you by what is a horrible coworker.

Don’t know if it’s been said, but if David Tracy is interested in it as well - fucking run...

So you’re telling me this one is the wrong one to use:

This requires many more stars...
