Here’s the thing on this, we bury more than 35,000 people per year in the US due to traffic fatalities. Those numbers have dropped from their highest by 30% (we buried more - yearly - from 77 through 81 than US servicemen died in Vietnam) but still represent too many for our society.

Milk always soothes a canker sore for me.  Or the other option is a dab of mustard which will start to chemically burn it out!  Hurts for a bit and then feels better for a while.

Was going to say the same thing - thinking about what playing a clarinet would feel like with fresh braces feels like agony.

C’mon Claire - just say it: Chiffonade - that’s the cut of Basil you’re calling for.

Trust me, I’m with you.  Still think the Stude is fugly - but a different ugly than this Silverado.  Either way, I won’t be owning either.

Ah, well, that’s because you’ve not seen the rear of this pig:

I see we now have a challenger to the throne for the ugliest truck ever. You’ve been put on notice, 1958 Studebaker:

Well, hell. I was planning a road trip to visit them someday this spring (in my hopefully-soon-to-be-finished 1966 Ford truck). They have a great inventory that’s always interesting (with a few basket cases thrown in).

It’s Swedish, so it’s a soft J.

No no, it’s spelled Raymond Luxury Yacht but it’s pronounced Throat Warbler Mangrove!

You’re probably looking at a pituitary issue coupled with a reaction to castration (steer as opposed to bull). Imagine this MF’er if he was a full-blooded bull - he would be nearly impossible to contain and probably weigh 350 lbs more at the least.

Looks like Memphis was drafting by the syllable.

Am I the only one that kept seeing dee-eye instead of dee-one in the article? Is this an autocorrect issue or are my eyes going?

GM won’t die, it’s just going to turn into what Dodge is - a Truck, SUV, and sometime car maker.

“Welcome to Costco....I Love You.”

No - not with regards to private property rights.  Scalia was a lion regarding those and, to me, that is a very traditional Conservative stance (not Republican - Conservative).  I remember that decision and how not shocked I was it went the way it did.  The only real surprise I had was Justice O’Connor dissenting.

Yes - this.  This is how you end up with a car where you have to remove the passenger seat to change the oil, which will be mandated every 1,500 miles with an oil plug socket size of 9/16 while the rest of the entire car is in metric.

Yes - heading into 2008, Ford was the only major US manufacturer that was halfways prepared. Mullaly had even mortgaged the Ford emblem to pay off corporate debt. The next five years (2009 through roughly 2013) were very good years for the blue oval. This could turn out well for GM once the two-years-overdue

Yep - they are frantically trying to rebuild their reputation.  I’d rather see cigarette commercials than Wells Fargo at this point.
