Doesn't give numbers. But emphasizes his importance to 90s rap and reasoning behind his popularity. This one also https://www.timeout.com/new… Also.. “Each year, MRI researchers go into about 25,000 homes nationwide and talk to residents for an hour about their media habits…Among the

You might be correct. But in the early-mid 90s when Rap was truly becoming a major musical force not just listened to mainly by African-Americans or urban populations Tupac was right there at the center. When teenagers in the 90s were developing their musical proclivities, Tupac was right there and he became an icon.

I get your point. Im just saying more mainstream. Tupac/Biggie were not the first but they were impactful and just seemed to take the the whole Pop/Rap cross-pollination to another level. My main point was disputing the idea that Tupac was not a major star. I believe he was.

Going to disagree. Tupac (though he probably wasn't a fan of this) was a key figure in making Rap more mainstream and flowing it into Pop music. He probably introduced a majority of white America to mainstream rap. Obviously this is just my opinion, but I believe this is at least partially because of his "It"

Just seemed some of those tracks should do nothing but bring you down, but had almost the exact opposite effect. A lot of people got so much strength from his music. The power of his voice, the delivery always resonates the most with me when things are falling apart. Singing/screaming/growling along with him always

Agreed. Its not in your face at all, but lyrically and vocally on par with a lot of his other music. I think any Chris Cornell fan and those new to his music would immensely appreciate that album.

Couldn't agree more. Crusty old racist sexist worthless piece of flesh should not be above a musical icon like Chris Cornell. Actually he shouldn't be above any living thing. Please take your place behind the ant I killed this morning, Roger Ailes.

Love this comment. (I'll add that he was one of the few that followed me into adulthood too.)

Always been a huge Chris Cornell fan. Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, solo Chris Cornell…doesn't matter. His voice and vocal ability really Made any band even if some of the accompanying music or arrangements was for the better or worse. He was top 5 favorite musicians for me. I shed a tear this morning

Easily the roughest episode so far. But I do want to rewatch this episode in particular (after having finished fall). The musical brings home Lorelai's need for self discovery. Okay, I get it now. (I didn't, however need 20 minutes to tell me that.) The lack of back story with Logan & Rory is completely frustrating. I

I wondered that too. I am pushing that out of my mind, but I bet stranger requests have been made from actors though.

The secret bar was one of my favorite "new" town quirks. Namely because it was a fairly short scene, featured the original characters and paid off on a mention from the first episode.

I think I read she hadn't watched it, but had read it or something to that effect. Similar to what you said. Totally agree with your last sentence.

Its horrifying because its true, right? I felt that was real as well. It happens in real life. Especially seems to always happen when you're already in a bad place and Tristan almost derailed Paris a few times and her friendship with Rory.

Love all your points. I feel the biggest issue with the revival is we are all 9 years out and GG A Year in the Life is basically just Season 7-8 (ASP style). I know we should have expected ASP to just write what she had wanted for Season 7, but I would've hoped that she would've respected the perspective of the fans.

Agreed. I posted that somewhere else too. I just felt it was ASP way of not dealing with Season 7 and the proposal and such. We're free to just judge away without knowing anyone's motivations at this point. I find it frustrating.

This is the biggest problem with this storyline. We have absolutely no idea how to read their relationship. It is extremely frustrating. Im okay if she never wanted to marry/be permanent with Logan. Just say it! I'm okay if he didn't want to marry her (anymore). Just say it! I feel like all of that was intentional

I don't think it ever was. But I'm going to blame it on the original Lorelai (Gran?) She seemed to like to write mean letters.

I loved that line. So Michel.
