Converting car sticker prices across currencies is completely useless.
Dammit you’re right. Now I have to change my user name so no one will know it was me.
That was fast.
If I get to 5 years cancer free, Mrs. Dunlop has agreed to buy me a Roadster. I’m coming up on year one.
I miss liking Nissan.
There's one thing to say, and that's "Dammit".
You know what would have been great? If we could have fucking watched it. IMSA didn’t livestream it, and when the (truncated) NBCSports broadcast was supposed to happen later, it was cut by a NASCAR race. Not to mention IMSA had already tweeted the winner and results. Are they actively trying to ruin themselves?
Have you no soul?
Well, it produces more electricity than it uses, which goes back into the local grid, which offsets other sources of electricity, which can be seen to have a negative carbon footprint over time that would even offset the production and maintenance of the equipment.
I recently did an alternator swap onto a car from the 60s that had a generator.
I just scaled Mt.Everest in my ‘91 Miata with snow tires this past winter (Bridgestone Blizzaks FTW) and these fools can’t even navigate a simple dirt path.
New vehicles are definitely more expensive. For example, a base-model Civic DX in early 2000s was around $15,000. Same model today will cost you close to $20,000 (and that’s without all the taxes added up). That’s because even base models are fitted with features that older cars didn’t have, such as infotainment…
My car is old enough to have 2 kids, a messy divorce, and a questionable Tinder account.
Do you? More features doesn’t equal more value. I’d argue that a base shitbox is more value still than most crossovers that cost more.
