We went with an LG based on picture and budget last time we got a new tv a few years ago. Not one of these models, obviously, but the LG smart features are fantastic, and netflix is a breeze to use. It was a pleasant surprise how much better it made watching stuff. Their amazon app is solid as well.

I ended up walking home in that storm just b/c the el was disaster too, mag mile to Lincoln Park. Stopped for beer and a frozen pizza on the way home, then took the dog out. I have no doubt the 90 minute walk was by far the fastest way to go, that storm was insane.

Talk about first world problems though...

I was not a big fan of hearing that the new TRID laws (know before you owe, I think) meant we couldn’t close in anything quicker than 45 days even after selling our condo for a healthy profit and knowing we were in good shape to purchase a house entirely our own.
