What's the advantage to using the app on the Xbox One vs the Xbox Media Player app? I have a plex media server set up and it streams to the One using the Media Player app.

I live in the country where only one Internet provider (Frontier) is available. Speeds are horrible, no more than 1 Mbps, so things like YouTube/Netflix are not an option. Thinking of giving this a try, what do you guys think?
