As in, "Why are we suspending A-Rod an arbitrary number of games? Just 'cause."
It's basically just a weak attempt to pander to the region's heavy Portuguese population. There are plenty of Revolution fans who are sore about the fact that the only mention of soccer anywhere around Gillette Stadium is of a player with a minimal connection to New England soccer.
God damn it. I even knew that too.

Rudolph, according to scouts, was second only to Tim Raines in flying through heavy powder.
Fordham's stadium only has permanent stands on one side of the field. Hell, for years the soccer teams played their games on the quad instead of Coffey Field. Unless there's a massive renovation, Fordham isn't capable of hosting a professional soccer team.

He'll probably get fined. Nothing more. Was it a little bit on the silly side? Yes. But he and everyone else in the building knew that he was never going to be able to trade punches with Scott, so he felt he needed to stand up for himself in some way.
Ray Emery, of course, can fight whomever he damn well pleases.
Part of me believes he missed that on purpose just to keep the score line at dos a cero just to stick it to Mexico a little bit more.
