Huge Dead Space fan here, all three games. Went back after playing 3 co-op, which was a blast, and revisited the first game. The combination of clunky combat controls, slower character movement, and more cinematic tension all make a great, creepy, scary game. I know it’s not for everyone, but I felt they nailed sci-fi…
any man that can respond to criticism this proficiently in gif form = good.
Session 9 is a slow, slow burn... but man, what a payoff. Really enjoyable.
Somewhat related : watched “Frankenstein’s Army” on Netflix last night. Recommended to anyone that likes the creature design creepiness of Hellraiser.
Cannot wait to see more coverage on Dark Souls 3!
I experienced a live Twitch stream for the first time the other day and it was pretty fun. It was a Youtube Let’s Player (mrandersonlp) whom I enjoy. He does a lot from the Souls titles and I like his humor and play style. He announced an upcoming stream, it was slow at work, so on a lark I clicked and joined in.
“The man is a genius and the people that play his games are the greatest rubes of all time.” One of those statements is true, the other is not.
I dunno. I got a really serious Frat House / Frat prank vibe from that whole story.
“and now that God has blessed me with some success” — errr, why. just why.
I was not allowed to visit my hotel gym in Tokyo because of my tattoos, even bandaged. I got some odd looks at the hotel’s sushi bar as well. Overall not a big deal. Your mileage may vary.
A game trailer with a built-in advert and a pop-up video add that hijacks my screen that I have to wait to click out of. Classy.
Hah, no I didn’t see that. Regardless, yeah, it was very tame. I’m glad... Oakland has seen enough broken windows for the time being.
Time to sit back and listen to Oakland burn. Sounds like a goddamn war zone out there right now.
ahem : “pulling off the movies that have wrecked us all.”
I agree! We’ll have to see I guess. It would be a shame if the big reveal for the game was something so obvious as “you’re a robot””.
I thought this was going to be the case too, but there’s a section in the trailer where you’re running and you’re clearly panting / out of breath. Not sure if that would apply to a robot.
