I will agree with Blade Runner 2049.  It definitely feels confidently its own thing.

Maverick had a million callbacks to the original. It follows a ton of the plot beats from Top Gun and had tons of nostalgia bait lines and scenes.

Great performances but the film was booooring.

I did wonder if Cersei calling her one of his foreign whores was supposed to plant the idea of Tyrion having a thing for Daenerys. I don’t like the idea that this is a significant part of her ability to get people on her side, if that’s what they’re trying to sell these days. She wins you over with her sincerity and

I agree it would have made some sense if he was aware of the incest. As it was, Tyrion was creeping, and a Dany/Jon sex scene is not a scene where his point of view is needed!

Well the end of Littlfinger was satisfying.

So anyone want to talk about what was going through Tyrion’s mind when he saw Jon enter Dany’s chambers? He think it’s a bad idea, right? No jealousy? Maybe just a bit mournful? I’ll have to rewatch it. Because he was not happy about it. He looked concerned I guess...

A *magic* few hundred foot wall. It kind of ticked me off to see brute force/fire get the job done. No Horn of Joramun!

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I liked this episode far more than any previous episode this season. Not that it’s been bad, but it’s felt so rushed with months long travel happening in the span of 60 minutes. This was slower and the scenes actually got to breathe.

THE AWESOME: JON/DANY becoming canon (I waited so fucking long for this!!!!), Stark sisters UNITED, Jaime finally waking the fuck up, Theon growing a pair, and of course, ICE DRAGON VISERION.

Aidan Gillen’s horrible acting will haunt the series no longer! Yay! In fairness, the writing for Littlefinger has been terrible for a very long time (the writers frequently took “chaos is a ladder” to mean he would do whatever the plot required of him at any given moment, and as a supposed genius, he suffered the

“Hello, I’m Rhaegar and this is my son Aegon and my other son Aegon.”

I was hoping for a Jon-Arya reunion. Oh well.

Nice of them to all sit there waiting patiently while The Hound hashes it out with big bro.

So I guess we’re supposed to assume Euron is some kind of telepath as well, seeing how he conspired with Cersei in a whim like that.

So was like the same dude who played Viserys in season 1 the guy who played Rhaegar in this episode?

And you conspired with Clay Davis to become the Mayor of Baltimore, Lord Baelish....

“The witch who killed my husband” is also what I call my OBGYN.

I’m just so happy Arya and Sansa weren’t being stupid.
