We live near some hiking trails a lot of people get lost on. Not Lost really, but a mile plus away from their car and where they meant to be. My neighbor met his wife when she and a friend got lost in such a way and he drove them back to their car. Now she is our neighbor too! They just got a puppy.
Three words: Giant. Butterfly. Nets.

I’m working on this with a therapist: being seen. I am more than fulfilled in my life right now, but I would really love to be in a relationship, to share our lives and root for each other. As a hermit and freelancer, I’m often alone. As someone with anxiety, I am often retiring. So I’m working on going out to…
We’re getting married in two weeks — met at a Star Wars convention ten years ago and started dating 6 years ago.

Mine was actually a setup! My aunt says, I know this great guy who would be perfect for you, and my entire body and soul went into hard-core “no thanks” mode. Not particularly helpful...A few more distant friends met their partners through shared interests? (Music…
I know a couple who legit met on a plane when someone wanted to switch seats with one of them; they sat together for the flight, hit it off, kept in touch, and eventually got engaged and married and had the cutest baby.
I met the mister at a fundraiser at an art gallery. We’re both active members of the local arts scene, but hadn’t crossed paths until then. Booze flowed and we connected (wink wink nudge nudge).
Pilates.
I actually met my spouse at work (sorry!) Our first date was to a midnight showing of Office Space.
I’m in the same boat and don’t play sports but a lot of relationships seem to have come out of the various rec teams my friend plays on. Unfortunately most people I know who’ve met recently have been on apps but I am so terrible at that.
I love Mexican food (and Korean and Thai and Japanese...). My mom doesn’t even like Taco Bell very much. When we go to a Thai restaurant she orders fried rice. Even Italian that isn’t Olive Garden is a little too much for her. It’s frustrating, but at her age and in her condition I just want to make her happy. I’m…
