Classic Jezebel: because my boyfriend asked me to make a difficult decision, I must be in an abusive relationship or he’s just an asshole I should have serious doubts about.

Does anyone have any useful tips about finding new homes for their pets? I’ve had my two cats, brothers from the same litter, since they were six weeks old. They are now 12. They’re high maintenance and create bigger messes and more destruction than some children do, plus they both have health issues, but I’ve always

12 weeks pregnant here. first time ever. congrats and i hope it sticks, too!

I already ordered a Shark, and got what looks to be a pretty decent model for $250, but I appreciate the recommendation. I’m looking forward to vacuuming being fun and not a chore, because I need that in my life!

i might look into that in the near future to supplement my new shark. possibly totally unnecessary, but i do like the idea of coming home to clean floors.

i ordered a shark last night! this one i’ve had is a cheap one i bought years ago when i was super broke, so i was due for an upgrade anyway. there’s something so adult about shopping for and comparing vacuums, and i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t a little excited about having a new one soon.

i had not considered a roomba. it might not be a bad idea, but i still feel like i need a real vacuum, especially with kid messes in my future.

Someone else recommended the Navigators and I was just looking at them. I think I might pull the trigger since everyone has said Shark and not a single person has said Dyson.

i think it’s time for an upgrade. i bought this vacuum for really cheap from walmart when i was a broke postgrad about nine years ago. i’m ready for an adult vacuum.

My biggest accomplishment was making dinner an hour ago. I’m dealing with alllll the pregnancy fatigue and nausea, and I’ve come home every night from work and either ordered takeout or had a bowl of my high fiber cereal. Tonight, I finally pushed through and cooked an insanely delicious meal of swedish meatballs,

i had no idea but that’s great to know!

I’m officially 11 weeks pregnant this weekend, and while I’m feeling fatigued and nauseous, I also have a lot to do. It’s all making life very interesting.

11 weeks pregnant here. trying real hard to be productive and clean the apartment, but i have to stop after every task because it’s all exhausting. hoping what they say about having more energy in the second trimester is true, because i just want to lay on my couch until i go back to work on monday.

excellent advice. thank you so much.

so true. i hate these people and their faux love for all life.

thank you so, so much. looking into these books and willing my instincts to take over.

ha, a few days later and nothing that romantic. we ordered fajitas to be delivered, watched the NBA all star game, and then some PBS cooking shows. our own version of valentine’s day i guess.

yes, every time i think it has sunk in completely, i’ll have an “omg, i’m having a baby” moment. thank you so much, and congratulations and best of luck to you as well.

thank you. i plan to.

thank you so much. looking into those book recs now. and yes, i’ve already decided that i want to add this kid to my and my boyfriend’s existing life, not create a new foreign life that revolves around the kid. easier said than done, for sure, but that is my goal.
