It’s the end of the day and I’m just trying to understand how someone born in 2004 is a Millennial? Aren’t they like 12 right now, is my brain not working? I’m an old X’er with a 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter. I consider them to be Gen Z or if I’ve had a few, Gen We Can’t Do the Math Because We Got the Common

Almost all of the Gen X’ers in my group of friends did not buy large engagement rings even though they all married later in life. The only reason why I have one is because we recycled his grandmothers’ anniversary wedding set. Most of said friends are home owners or business owners too. If this is a trend than BofA ML

Yup, it’s Presidents’ Day here too! Seriously it’s so dead that my office is the only one opened in our whole building today. Good news is, traffic’s light!

My then husband worked for a company that GnR was a client of. This was before WttJ hit big. He became friendly with the band and their management. We were low level nobodies in our early 20’s. Being in your 20’s during that time, living in LA and having a GnR connection was pretty awesome and we knew we had good too.

I’m shocked there wasn’t a country sample in there somewhere.

IKR! I was an extra in a GnR video back in the 80's. We were told to wear all black. The band played live so yeah they had to play the same song several times during the night. But in between takes they would play some of their other songs and covers to entertain the extras. I worked less than 10 hours and was paid

Yup no frou with this one. I’m not a fan of the dress, although it is amazingly well made and fit her perfectly. She wore the dress it didn’t wear her. But all in all it was well, just a bit boring if you ask me.

In honor of this post I’m burning a gardenia scented candle at work while listening to Pavarotti. I work in an accounting office but they’re used to me doing shit like this by now.

Kinda looks like Kate Middeltons wedding dress non? I’m a sucker for the whole faux Victorian thing though. We went hard for the Victorian theme for our wedding so I can’t snark.

I remember Jessica McClintock dresses! I loved them! I remember the whole potpourri thing too. That’s when I learned to hate the smell of vanilla. When I re-married in the early aughts the first thing I told my husband was not to buy me anything vanilla scented that wasn’t a baked good I could eat.

I dunno, I’m getting a bit of a Stevie vibe here. Just me? Ok, fine then.

So you can only have an opinion about packaging of a product if you actually USE that product? Really? So a non-drinker shouldn’t design a beer can or a wine label? Does that mean all packaging for toys should be done by kids coz ya know adults man I can’t even.

I find that Amazon isn’t always cheaper or it’s cheaper but they only have the paperback or some other sub-standard version. Plus with B&N I can order online to pick up at the store. Once I get there, if there’s a problem, I have a real live person there to help me sort it out. I find B&N has a pretty helpful and

Just popping in here to agree with you, read the book, pass on the movie (sorry Clive).

IKR! That and the fact that c-sections are in fact painful (after the spinal wears off) and take longer to recover from. So anyone that said “Too posh to push” to me got an earful.

Added tip: switch to a standing desk. I found that, even without adding any additional PC exercises, switching to a standing desk greatly reduced my stress incontinence. Also from my personal experience: Having c-sections will not “save” your vagina.

I agree. I shouldn’t be so down on our school though, at least they’re TRYING to provide music and art!

Had to be. The only way I feel better about L.A.’s school situation is to read Urban Baby stories about getting kids into pre-school in NY.

The whole thing is just demented here. I’ve seriously contemplated homeschooling my kids. We’re not religious at all but I’m afraid people will think we’re whacko doodle jesus rode dinosaurs, type parents.
