I started using organic hair dye when I got pregnant with my 1st child almost a decade ago. My stylist ended up opening her own organic, formaldehyde free, and alcohol free salon. I’ve switched shampoo and conditioners too.

This is what started us on the pixie cut route. My daughter hated having her hair brushed. Only the most expensive detangle stuff worked on her fine hair. Once we got her a pixie there was no going back. As soon as her hair is long enough to require a brush, she asks to have it cut again.

My daughter is 6 and has been wearing (at her request) a pixie cut since she’s 4. She rocks it too.

NZ is amazing. I’ve been twice, Mr. Bird has been 3 x’s. We’re now thinking about going back with our 2 kids. Our deal is that we have to hit a new place each time we go. This time I think we’re going to check Hot Water Beach off our list.
