Maybe that's how they're planning to achieve their safety goals. Number of deaths - number of births. It's the CAFE of safety!

haha, or a Corvette for the price of a Yaris. Then we'll be talking :).
Tom, I usually like your articles, but you're killing my ability to find really nice cars for super cheap when the rich kids trade them in for SUVs just before the winter storms hit up north.
"It's safer to pull out" - Volvo's new marketing slogan
Very true on the price. I've been amazed at how much some of the cars will fetch these days. Mine needed minor work to get back on the road. Mainly a diff and seat belts. The rest was really preventative. Oh, and a new radiator since summers in Georgia are a bit warmer than I believe that little car was designed…
Haynes Manual for whatever car or truck they have. As an added bonus, if it is for an old British car then they will find it quite hilarious. For example, it notes that to attach the speedo cable on a Mini you simply reach through the access gap in the in inner fender. Simply reach through a gap to small for a…
pretty sure that was the monthly caffeine and exotics in ATL along Peachtree road at Lenox mall.
I seriously disagree with this approach. Just because you are fast in a kart doesn't mean you have a fast car. Our ChumpCar team has two drivers with legit karting experience, but our car was running like crap and should have been relegated to the back for the start.
If you haven't run the kart track (full) at AMP yet then you are missing out!
What'd you think of turn 16?
Love the open-top tour bus there as well.
Oh man, that reminds me of the stupidest wreck I've ever seen. I-85S in GA at the onramp from Buford Rd (exit 115, Mall of Georgia area) a civic was coming up the on-ramp, holding the same speed as a tractor-trailer in the right lane, and held station right about mid-trailer. Next thing the civic driver realizes that…
Haha, I did something similar with an Arduino for an elementary school career day. I added a js library to a simple NodeJS app that did speech-to-text and lex/yacc-like command processing of the resulting text so you could just tell the light to turn on. waaaay overkill, but the kids loved playing iron man and…
Was it just me, or did it look like he took the helmet off without actually undoing a chin strap?
