For reference regarding the current layout for the other commenters.
That's correct. The theory being that getting on the highway and getting off the highway can happen unimpeded by just curving to the right (so without crossing the lane at the point of entry / exit from the highway). Basically it will go from only the people getting on/off the highway needing to turn across oncoming…
Yeah, f' that project. I work in the Ravinia complex (NE corner of that intersection) and use the 285 eastbound off-ramp to hit Ashford-Dunwoody N. In order to create this fuster cluck of lane switching confusion they are removing an epic off ramp (off of 285E) and an on ramp (onto 285E from SB Ashford-Dunwoody). …
I watched a guy walking through a parking lot get hit like that. The gate had been open for a minute or two, but right as he got there it nailed him squarely on the crown of his head. It was all I could do not to shout "HEAD SHOT!" I half expected some hidden camera show to pop out laughing.
Pat's Acres was where I learned to kart. Lots of fond memories there. Started out in a Reed Rotary, then ran an HPV, and finally moved into a 125cc Shifter. In the HPV I remember getting into a 3-way battle for the lead for the entire 16-lap race. And one of the times we ran the course backward I got stuck behind…
2004 on my way from Atlanta to Sydney.
Wonder what the cops would have thought of a 24yro in heavy mechanics overalls driving a beatup p.o.s. toyota flatbed without A/C with a little over $250K in cash in a block wrapped with plastic wrap... Would have been interesting trying to explain to my father why his company's cash bonus to employees couldn't be…
You got lucky. I went through a TSA checkpoint with an 8mm hex key for my helmet visor and an AN-4 bolt and got pulled out of line, searched, and had the hex key confiscated. Apparently "tools are not allowed on planes."
I'm thinking the original text, plus Dany's face, and an arrow at the 'future' loti.
Read the COTD and thought the same thing. Definitely falls into the category of bringing some sort of insight and/or value to the discussion. He's (?) had a number of rather good quality posts. Star-worthy for sure.

HAHAHA, that's f'd up. If I had to hazard a guess, the original drawing included the mechanic dude waving that hand up and back, then a subsequent drawing inserted the guy in white over top and they forgot to redraw the mechanic's arm properly.
I remember watching it on TV. It was the first time (and only so far) that I was actually standing up jumping around watching it. Absolutely epic nail-biter of a finish. I'd made it out to the race the year before and sat my arse on the hill looking out over the front section rather than at the corkscrew. Oh how I…
Doesn't matter. What I want to see is a battle. I've seen a couple spec races where the drivers ability levels differed enough the race was just a 30 minute parade around the track. I've also seen some high technology races that have done the same due to car capability differences.
What would you like to drink?
From what I remember the driver was some sort of oil sheikh or prince or something, not a normal F1 driver or tester.
Problem with the limit to how long the car can be impounded? *cough* *cough*
I'm a fan. I'm (eventually) going to do a full cluster of Smiths in my '70 Mini... when I eventually get everything ready to do so and have the time. They really do just look great. I'd totally rock a watch mimicking a Smiths.
1. Like the concept. Keep going.
