For me it was this:
Absolutely phenomenal read, and I love that you describe your personal experience. It may just be my own past or upbringing, but this and the Binding of Isaac article are the most I've been able to relate in a review about a "simple" video game. I really love these sorts of articles.
Homeschooled (in a Baptist home) then Private schooled all the way up to 10th grade. Yeah, can't say it helped me keep my faith. Plus my post-highschool fustercluck of a family, haha.
I've been pulled away over to Heroes of the Storm for a bit since the more casual atmosphere has been more enjoyable for me lately. However, I've helped a few friends go from 0-30 in LoL and have been looking to get back into it. If you're ever looking for a teammate who wont rage at you and can help provide a few…
It's still there.
"You cannot mount in combat."
"You cannot mount in combat."
"You cannot mount in combat."

*Feign Death*
I wouldn't say it's "sneaking" it by the player. It's on their store page and even highlighted in their videos, so if someone felt that surprised by it then they didn't do much (if any) research on what they were buying.
Binding of Isaac is one of my favorite games because of how it handles death. Sure, you can get items that will increase your number of lives, but when you die and you hit your "Game Over" screen it will only set you back 15 minutes at most. It gives it a feeling of "One more round... One more round" instead of…
Mordheim, in Early Access on Steam, actually has a pretty good way of stopping that from happening. When one of your characters hits 0 health, they are only incapacitated. You don't learn their fate until after the game is done, after your save has been overwritten. They may be fine. They may have lost a leg and have…
This jumped immediately to mind. :'(
I have a couple examples myself. One is when my cousin and I would play old-school Alien vs Predator, the first person shooter one. If someone disconnected from the network entirely in that game, it wouldn't remove them but would instead attempt to re-sync once the connection was established again. He played Human and…
If you want to ignore all of the story, sure.
That's what I would assume, too. Like something is giving the machines the go-ahead from the servers despite not getting anything back, but then the next sync gives it the "updated" data. Hope it gets resolved soon though, even though it's not affecting me.
"Some Evolve players' progress is being wiped" as well as "but my progress—including my level, attained perks, and unlocked characters—get totally wiped clean."
There's a difference between a wipe and a save not carrying over.
If that were the case I doubt it would be wiping their data; the save would just not carry over.
Ogod, I remember when every video had that blaring over the video. Thank god people finally moved away from that o_o
Oh don't worry, dying isn't that big of a worry if you've got a good Medic by your side. If you're a Trapper though, I would advise either catching the Monster with every single mobile arena, or preparing to mute your whole team xD
I'm... not a good Trapper :P
They threw in a tutorial, and each time you play a new role it gives you a video of how to play them instead of a loading screen :D
I think the censorship with these games coming to North America is absolutely ridiculous. Not just when it's almost hilariously ineffective like in this case, but these games are supposed to be adult, no? Please note ahead of time that I'm talking more about censorship in general with these sorts of games, not this…
Can this please, please, PLEASE be a new game mode for Smash Bros?
