I was “lucky” enough to be born with a condition that makes balance difficult for me, so skateboarding has always been just out of reach. Also got furloughed a few days ago, so while I’m looking for work I’m also enjoying being off for a bit which has been pretty chill.

Yeah! And when it was smooth, it went from “great” to “amazing” for me :P

I played through their stress tests and even though the servers were disconnecting a lot (as is the point of a stress test) it’s the most fun I’ve had with a pokemon-styled game in a long time.

I’m a bit concerned about some of these changes since I loved the pacing of it back earlier in early access, but I’m glad to see that they’re trying to change things up for a more overall enjoyable game and hopefully fuller playerbase. Can’t wait to check it out in practice

I’ve never been a fan of Fortnite itself, but the way they do their events and player engagement has always been top-notch. I doubt I’ll check it out during Chapter 2/Season 11/whatever they’re calling it, but watching their events interact has been fun.

We should! Holy cow, now I wish there was a stat for how much stuff we lost due to the old inventory system, even just out of curiosity :P

Somewhat. The materials you can mine now stack to (apparently, at least on the ship) 9999, which is a VAST improvement to the 250 limit from before. Being able to organically gather as you explore and not have to constantly play “Which box does this fit in” helps out a lot so far, imo.

As a heads up that helped me control his Down-B a lot more easily in the heat of the moment, you can use your D-Pad up and down to select the spell you want to use. Granted this takes your thumb off of the thumbstick but I personally prefer the guaranteed precision and no double-clicks/bad flicks.

One of my favorite

Personally, I feel like it isn’t as replayable as the original but it has a fair amount itself. The custom modes add some extra challenge and life into it (double-beat mode, permadeath, “fixed character” where you can’t swap out during, and a slightly hidden extra challenge mode with item restrictions and a single

While playing, there is an option to set the beat to double, standard, or off. There is also an option when doing a custom game (the same as the campaign but with custom rules) where you can add in permadeath as well. There is also a 4th character who is slightly hidden but unlockable that’s an extra challenge mode

Oh gosh, I had the same experience with her. I spent a few hours on her just rage-fueled and totally focused last night because I HAD to get her down, but when it crashed to desktop I figured that was my stopping point. Came back today and got her on the first try, but my god is she a brutal fight

This looks awesome! I’ve recently gotten into the Ocarina of Time Randomizer co-ops but this is probably the biggest thing I’d love to see that implement somehow

Melee also does the whole “magnet lunge” thing that helps those hits be more likely while also adjusting your position rapidly from your opponents’ point of view. I’d definitely take that over three rounds of empty hope per clip

Tobyfox also tweeted this about what Delta Rune is in relation to Undertale... sort of

Since you can make a custom character use Geralt’s fighting style I made Roach. Going to make some adjustments later, but it was good enough for right then

One of their pre-canned messages to use in lobbies is “Wow, that character is sexy!” so they’re leaning pretty freely into it, unfortunately.

Now playing

The best helmet in the game if for no other reason than this:

Very true. A while ago I went through and used credits to buy every Spray and Voice Line and now I’m working through Emotes. With all the duplicates I got leading up to this I was able to spend 10k credits today to get what I wanted and bypass the RNG (to a point, of course)

I just found out last night that Armed and Dangerous (2003) has been on PC/Steam this whole time, so definitely diving into that. It’s one of my all-time favorite games, so I’m excited to revisit it.

To your first point, in my experience they don’t, but I suppose we could chalk that up to anecdotal which is fair, granted. I grew up in a highly religious household that was very “old-school catholic adjacent” so my experiences could very well not be indicative of a whole, just what I’ve seen through my lifetime.
