I’m not a lawyer, but as I understand it they don’t have to be identical, just close enough where the trademark owner can make the case that it would cause consumers to believe it’s from or affiliated with them.

yeah, they’ve got a case here.

Yeah, even though I’ve had a fair bit of experience with chain fast food locations being staffed by incompetent, careless yahoos, this is one where I’d sit back and wait to see “the rest of the story” before passing judgement.

“I have no experience with bovine husbandry or dairy cows other than what I’ve seen in propaganda ‘documentaries’ but I’m famous so I know everything and you should all listen to me.”

I tend to get Ziyad, but I’d wager the beans come from the same source.

instant pots make them one step.  you don’t need to soak nor boil first.

I was assuming we were talking about some heirloom varieties or something.

trust me, you’re not that important.

7+ billion people on this planet and you can’t grasp the concept that not everyone thinks the same as you?

if you haven’t, you owe it to yourself to get the book.  It’s out of print but good used copies are easily found for not much $.

because

I, like many people, had never even heard of most of these beans that Rancho Gordo was peddling (Rebosero? Mayocoba? Good Mother Stallard?),

AFAIK FDA regulations are actual law, and should be listed in the US Code somewhere. If butter standards are USDA guidelines, then IIRC they don’t carry the force of law.

It is done

“Ok, it’s not actually paint. Bob was just really hammered last night.”

midwinter.... blues? I’m supposed to hate this?

it’s weird. Supposedly there was a “Butter act” (21 USC § 321a) that defined what “butter” is (made from milk and not less than 80% milk fat) but searching for that law doesn’t turn it up anywhere official that I could find.

At least on a Mini  you don’t have to move lock carrier into service position before you can do something.

when I saw the headline and lede image I was worried that AI had finally managed to make aspic dishes look appetizing. ‘Cos once they can do that, SkyNet is right around the corner.
