Taking 10% of the total, doubling it and rounding up is pretty easy too.
Maybe if you are poor and only going out once in a blue moon you should consider waiting for the second blue moon so you have enough to tip as well.

But tipping is not a surprise. Just like sales tax is not a surprise.
All the more reason to remove tipping altogether, and just build that into the price of the meal (and employee wages). You know, like the rest of the civilized world does.
If you can’t afford to tip 20%, you can’t afford to eat out. Taking $2 out of some person’s pocket because you want to take some fake moral high ground is grounds for calling a person a dickhead. YMMV

I liked the ambivalence of the sketch, as well. There’s a weird comedy dogma here (and elsewhere), that any political material that doesn’t completely affirm my particular viewpoint is somehow a cop-out.
