Why would Russia need to take over Syria? Assad is happy being their servant as long as they protect him, it doesn’t require any formal take over.

The U.S. thinks they would need permission from the U.N. Security Council to bomb Assad, bombing ISIS or other Al Qaeda rebels is not viewed as needing any special legal provision.

The U.S., Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Israel want to overthrow Syria’s leader Assad (Iran ally) to weaken Iran and Hezbollah (Iran ally centered in Lebanon). Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah support Assad remaining in power. Thus, if you look at this closely the war in Syria is essentially a war against Iran which is why Iran

Then un-ally them, the American public has the right to determine D.C.’s foreign policy, we aren’t serfs. The American people need to stand up and demand that the U.S. government immediately stop supporting any rebels in Syria.

Syria was already Russia’s version of our Israel, they are Russia’s main Middle East ally, I don’t see Putin arming rebels in Israel to overthrow the Netanyahu government. Syria does not oppose the United States, they didn’t attack us on 9-11. America has ZERO national interests in Syria, it belongs to Russia’s sphere

We have no committment to rebels, the action of arming them was shameful aggression by the U.S. into Syria. Russia has every right to annihilate them at the request of the legitimate Assad government.

Russia is trying to save their ally Assad, they have no desire to conquer Syria.

Russia didn’t want any nation in the Middle East de-stabilized, they didn’t want the war in Libya or this war in Syria. Russia has no ambitions in the Middle East other than maintaining their 45 year old alliance with the Assad dynasty.

So what? The U.S. isn’t there to get rid of ISIS because they are evil scum. They are there to get rid of Assad. What’s the difference?
