I like how Barry, the only CSI in the whole of Central City, is the dumbest character on this show.

I can see how you would. But she's a different varietal of ginger. I may have a chip on my shoulder over red hair colours though…

Post-makeover Ellie Kemper looks ridiculously like Aya Cash. I'd never have said they have similar faces before.

Troll the Respawn Jeremy really is the There All Is Aching of this year.

Glad to welcome back return of Barry running.

This episode of the Middle was more interesting for the directions it didn't take. I felt for sure that once they'd established the reasons everyone left Brick's lecture and the dancing repetitions that every one was going to feed back in to the character's relationships with Brick. They got closest to this with Axl

I'm surprised this didn't come with a "Sequences Shortened" warning.

Oh the internet existed then. It was just my family screwing with me. Not that I've ever figured out how to use the alphabet they use in dictionaries or wikipedia to explain pronunciation.

Not for the first time I lament my lack of time machine or prophetic powers. Think it was something about "Jimbo/Cheapo comes from Mexico". Admittedly if it wasn't so shit it would have burnt a little less.

Need to stop seeing myself in the younger Goldberg. My bad attempts at comedy got to the point where some of the other kids made up songs about how unfunny I was. Little guy was more successful than me with women at that age as well. Damnit.

The best thing about the basement number was that the new kids got little things that made them seem human. Just dancing on the stage or pratting about it's almost like they had a background or story. Almost.

Aah to be the geeky kid in the family. That scene where Adam shaves to "stimulate the follicles" is every time I wear a new tshirt.

Puberty, Henry. It makes Bobby Draper's off all TV's child characters.

Aah Blake. Always the big-haired Bez of the group.

Always nice to see somewhere on the spectrum characters learning the same life lessons as me. This week Brick can only chat people up on transport and mostly by being enigmatically agreeable.

He seems to be a good enough actor to make distinguishing between the two easy. Or it may just be because the sex storyline zagged where it appeared it was going to zig. Anyway there as some pretty great work there.

I feel like they're leaning into the douche thoughts with Jeremy since You're the Worst. In the date scene his hair is really reminiscent of his Ratner-esque Cigar and Cap combo from You're the Worst.

Oh at that point I was drawn to how Aubrey was holding the bouquet on Donna shots.

The sheer volume of top-shelf guest stars means I was surprised that Jordan Peele wasn't Joe's best-man. Surprised and disappointed. Til Questlove turned up.

Brooks Whelan! I hope he plays and is credited as Brooks Whelan Checkout Clerk. Michael Che's gonna be so pleased for him.
